Honor confirms MagicBook launch event for July 16; AMD Ryzen 4000 Renoir versions of the MagicBook 14, MagicBook 15 and MagicBook Pro rumoured
Honor has announced that it will be hosting a new launch event this month. Pencilled in for July 16, the event will undoubtedly be MagicBook-heavy. According to multiple sources, new versions of the MagicBook 14, MagicBook 15 and MagicBook Pro will be in attendance.
Additionally, the event will apparently be an all-AMD affair. AMD and Honor have teased as much on their respective Weibo channels, as Gizchina brought to our attention.
According to the promotional poster that we have included below, the devices that Honor plans to unveil will offer "A+ productivity". It has been rumoured that the MagicBook Pro will feature AMD's 45 W Ryzen 4000H processors, which would be a natural follow-on from last year's Ryzen 5 3550H and Ryzen 7 3750H models.
By contrast, Honor currently equips its MagicBook 14 and MagicBook 15 devices with Ryzen 3000U series processors. Hence, we would expect the company to bring these devices onto AMD's Ryzen 4000U series, which includes 8-core APUs.
Honor is unlikely to introduce a new chassis design for the AMD version of the MagicBook Pro, seeing as it has only recently released Intel models. The promotional image suggests that the MagicBook 14 and MagicBook 15 may be in line for some exterior changes, though.
