Leak confirms the design of the Samsung Galaxy Buds Live as earbuds also appear at the FCC
The FCC has certified Samsung's next set of Galaxy Buds. Spotted by Android Authority, the earbuds have been assigned the model number SM-R180. Believed to be called the Galaxy Buds X or Galaxy Buds Live, the listing does not reveal much about the earbuds. All we can glean is that they will support Bluetooth and are so small to make it "impracticable to label with a font size that is four-points or larger".
While the FCC does not offer many details about the earbuds, Evan Blass has. Revealed on his Patreon page, Blass has published what appear to be marketing renders of the earbuds. As the photo demonstrates, Samsung will release the earbuds in three colours. There is no word on a release date yet, but the appearance of a Mystic Bronze edition ties in with the focus of Samsung's next Galaxy Unpacked event. Mystic Bronze versions of the Note 20 Ultra and Galaxy Z Flip 5G have already leaked, so these earbuds may also arrive on August 5.
Incidentally, Blass refers to the earbuds as the Galaxy Buds Live rather than the Galaxy Buds X. Past rumours have suggested that the earbuds will support active noise cancellation (ANC) but do not appear to have any ear tips to speak of.
