High-speed internet is getting more and more essential. (Source: Wikipedia)

76% of US households polled would find it "very difficult" to live without their high-speed internet

A survey of US households with broadband internet resulted in findings that 76% of this group reported that they would find life harder without these services. Given that this research was conducted in the last quarter of 2019 (4Q2019), this number may be even higher now. This study also suggested that more ISPs should bundle streaming subscriptions with their services.

Comet Lake-S desktop processors led by Intel Core i9-10900K post respectable Fire Strike Physics Scores but have yet to face AMD's Ryzen 4000 Vermeer CPUs

No less than five Comet Lake-S desktop processors from Intel have been put in a 3DMark Fire Strike comparison to show off their decent Physics Scores. The CPUs chosen range from the i5-10400 all the way up to the mighty i9-10900K. The scores produced might be troublesome for some Matisse CPUs but will they bother AMD’s Vermeer Zen 3 chips?

The Core i9-10900K may be using some tricks to reach 5.3 GHz. (Image source: Appuals)The Core i9-10900K has graced 3DMark before, but not at 5.3 GHz. Brought to our attention by @_rogame, the new is the first time that we have seent he 10 core Comet Lake S processor hitting such lofty clock speeds. Manufactured on a 14 nm process, the Core i9-10900K also has a 3.7 GHz base clock and supports Intel Hyper-Threading. Turbo Boost Max 3.0 (TBM 3.0) and Thermal Velocity Boost (TVB) will make an appearance, too. We should point out that the Core i9-10900K may only be capable of reaching 5.3 GHz on a single core. Additionally, it may potentially use TVB to reach this speed, in which case it could only maintain 5.3 GHz temporarily before dropping back to lower levels. Previous rumours have suggested that the Core i9-10900K could cost US$562 upon release. Intel may have delayed the launch of Comet Lake-S until May or June 2020, too. Separately, the 3DMark listing essentially confirms the existence of the ASUS ROG MAXIMUS XII APEX, likely an LGA 1200 socket motherboard. The benchmark states that the motherboard and processor support DDR4-4500 RAM, too. There is no word yet about the release of pricing of the ROG MAXIMUS XII APEX, though.
