New market research has found that nearly 70% of all US households with broadband internet own and use at least 1 device along the lines of a smart TV, streaming box, connected DVR or console. This appears to underpin the strong role that online video has taken in home entertainment. It also suggests that OEMs in this space may be gravitating towards open-source software.

Some alleged renders of the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 supposedly based on genuine CAD drawings have been shared online. The flagship smartphone looks similar to the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra, and the S Pen slot has apparently been moved from the right side to now sit on the left side of the Galaxy Note 20.

Xiaomi has showcased the capabilities of the quad-cameras in the Redmi 10X Pro, a smartphone that will support OIS and up to 30x digital zoom. The device, which will launch alongside the Redmi 10X 4G and Redmi 10X 5G on May 26, will also feature a 4,500 mAh battery and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. The Redmi 10X 5G will launch for CNY 1,499 (~US$210), too.

The updated specs allow transfer speeds of up to 4 GB/s, which is essentially half of what computer PCIe NVMe SSDs can achieve, since the SD cards are only limited to X2 lanes instead of X4.
