Apple could be set to launch the iPhone 12 in two waves according to a report from supply chain rag Digitimes. Based on the supply of components, it believes that the 6.1-inch iPhone 12 models will be the first to ship followed by the 5.4-inch iPhone 12 and 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro Max.

Xiaomi has released two new 32-inch and 43-inch smart TVs as a part of its Mi TV 4A Horizon Edition series in India. AnTuTu has been busy compiling its August price-performance charts for Android phones, and there are new leaders in two out of the five tables. The iQOO 3 and Meizu 17 Pro have scored highly enough to remove the Redmi K30 Pro Zoom and Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro from their respective positions, although Redmi still has an incredible 11 smartphones in the charts.

The AnTuTu midrange smartphone performance chart for August is currently dominated by Redmi, Honor, and Huawei. Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G foldable smartphone, which seeks address most of the shortcomings of the original Fold. One thing that is unchanged from the Fold, however, is the premium pricing that the Galaxy Z Fold 2 commands.

Realme has unveiled the eye-catching new X7 series of smartphones today (September 1, 2020) today during a virtual event in China. This launch also introduced a new member of the V line, which is also powered by a MediaTek Dimensity chipset. However, its specs allow for pricing that starts at just 999 yuan (~US$146).

The first Apple Mac to ship with an ARM-based chip will be a 12-inch MacBook. According to a new report, it will be powered by an Apple A14X Bionic chip and will deliver between 15-20 hours of battery life. It will be followed in 2021 by an iMac that could feature Apple's first discrete GPU.

Xiaomi has now launched a "new" smartphone in the form of the Mi 10 Youth Doraemon Edition. The Mi 10 Youth Doraemon Edition offers the phone in a Doraemon box with a packed-in Doraemon figure and phone case. MSRP remains unchanged from the regular Mi 10 Youth Edition 5G.

Poco has been hinting that the upcoming X3 may be a phone to take on the OnePlus Nord in its mid-range category. The brand has just sent out press invitations for this phone's worldwide launch. It will be a virtual event that will take place on September 7, 2020.

mmWave is a sub-type of 5G associated with the potential for ultra-high speeds. However, it is also lumbered with a perception of being unreliable due to weak reception. OnePlus is planning to release its first budget handheld codenamed Clover. Unlike the OnePlus Nord, which is only available in India and Europe, the Clover will be available worldwide for under US$200. Qualcomm and Ericsson have been collaborating on the development of 5G technology for quite some time now. The partners' latest achievement is the successful completion of data calls using carrier aggregation. This was done using the standalone sub-6GHz form of the radio standard, which means the same could become more usable and attractive to mobile networks in the future.

Reports from a few days ago claimed Samsung would kill off its Galaxy Note series and replace it with a foldable phone, while equipping the S21 Ultra with an S-pen. New information indicates that the latter may, indeed, be true, but not at the expense of the Galaxy Note 21.

The Realme X7 Pro will be powered by the same Dimensity 1000+ on the Redmi K30 Ultra but beneath that will be the Realme X7 which will feature the all-new MediaTek Dimensity 800U. The phone has now also been tested on AnTuTu and shown to hold its own against the best Qualcomm currently has to offer in that space.

International pre-orders for the latest in RedMagic gaming phones have gone live today (August 26, 2020). This device is a variation on this series' early 2020 flagship, which launched with a 144Hz display and active cooling. That phone, the 5G, is also still available with a slight discount.

The Nokia 8.3 5G is finally on its way to the UK and has now been listed by retailer Clove. The phone is scheduled to be in stock on October 8, a ridiculous seven months after it was initially unveiled. The phone features a quad-rear camera setup, a Snapdragon 765G, and a 4500 mAh battery.
