The Axon 20 5G will go down as the first smartphone in history to rock an under-display selfie camera. Now that ZTE has that achievement locked down, it will proceed to launching an "Extreme" edition of the same ground-breaking device.
The OEM has made an announcement to this effect on Weibo. However, this teaser failed to supply details as to how it might differ from the current "standard" units of the Axon 20 - beside the new bright orange finish, obviously. The Extreme version also lacks availability and pricing details at present.
ZTE has also introduced another new variant of the 20. This one is a 4G/LTE-only variant, but will apparently retain all of the original phone's other specs, 32MP camera under a 6.92-inch OLED screen included. However, it is slated to run on UNISOC's Tiger T618 SoC rather than the Snapdragon 765G.
This highly unusual choice of processor is reportedly composed of eight cores: two Cortex-A75a and 6 A55s, all of which are clocked at the same 2.0GHz speed. However, again, ZTE has yet to specify when and where this new variant will be sold, or for how much.
