ZTE launches a Blade 20 Pro 5G with the Snapdragon 765G processor
ZTE has already released a smartphone with a Snapdragon 765G SoC this year; however, as this device is the first-gen under-display-camera Axon 20 5G, it does not exactly fall into the same category as the rest of the products launched with this processor in 2020.
Therefore, this OEM's almost-obligatory mid-ranger with this silicon seems to have come to the market as very much of an afterthought, especially as the debut of its successor might well be imminent.
Nevertheless, the Blade 20 Pro 5G makes a decent effort to be an attractive alternative in its realm. It has a thickness of just 7.9 millimeters (mm) as a selling point; then again, this leaves it with a battery with a capacity of 4000mAh.
This new phone also has a stovetop-form rear camera module for its virtually standard 64+8+2+2MP shooters. On the other side, it has a waterdrop notch for its 6.47-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, which might keep its price down. However, as it is yet to go on pre-order or general sale, this is not certain as yet.
On that note, the ZTE Blade 20 Pro 5G appears to have just one 8GB RAM/128GB internal storage SKU, which may come in just one icy-blue finish. It runs on MiFavor 10, a skin for (surprise, surprise) Android 10. Given that it has not been released yet, it may not be available until very late 2020 or early 2021, and its maker has yet to mention where it will be sold.
