For work and play. The successful 12.5-inch ThinkPad Yoga has now spawned a 14-inch model with dedicated GeForce graphics. Lenovo has engineered this convertible to adapt to any situation both at the office and at home. Can this versatile solution replace that old ThinkPad or aging family computer?

New generation. Are desktops and laptops becoming obsolete? Who still needs stationary PCs or classic laptops when the little Windows tablet offers enough computing power, interfaces, input devices, and storage?

Acer's All-in-One. Notebook, tablet or All-in-One PC, the Acer R13 meets almost all the requirements. Thanks to the new Ezel Aero Hinges, the device can be used in many operating modes and is also really fast with its two turbo SSDs in a RAID 0 configuration and Intel's i7 processor.

Maximum Flexibility. That's how Toshiba introduces a number of new convertibles on their German website. The series is supposed to merge the most important features of both notebooks and tablets into a single unit. If Toshiba succeeded we are going to determine during our review of the first model in the series, which retails for 400 Euro.

Fan-less. HP's 15.6-inch convertible wants to score with an energy-efficient processor from Intel's new Broadwell lineup, which enables a fan-less design in the Envy. A Full HD, IPS screen and good battery life are also part of the bundle.

Expand your Horizon. The 19.5-inch Horizon 2s is Lenovo's follow-up to the 21.5-inch Horizon 2e "2-in-1 tabletop PC". The new model comes with a smaller fold-out kickstand and is much slimmer and lighter than its larger sibling. How the new AIO compares is the subject of our review.

Red temptation. The Pavilion 13 would like to spare buyers the necessity of choosing between tablet and notebook experience by combining both worlds. It is driven by an AMD APU. In addition, it delivers good battery life and plenty of storage space.

Performance goes up, energy consumption goes down? After a several-month delay, Intel has finally released the fifth incarnation of their "Core" architecture, codenamed Broadwell. It's even coming on the market this year -- at least in a few machines. Initially, the new, extremely low-energy Core M series will only be used in the improved 14 nm manufacturing process. Is it a dream come true? Can we now expect to see high-performance, passively cooled Windows tablets?

Broadwell, the second. Following the Yoga 3, HP's Envy x2 is one of the first devices on the market that is based on Intel's new Broadwell technology. HP has created a convertible with multimedia mannerisms, not least due to the installed Beats Audio speakers. Our test will uncover other talents of the Envy x2.

Often imitated, never duplicated. Lenovo was a first-mover in the 360-degree hinge segment, but they’re not content to rest on their laurels. Long-lasting versatility. The Toshiba Satellite Radius P50W is a classy-looking convertible equipped with 4th-generation Core i5 processor, a generous amount of RAM and storage, and a 15.6-inch, multi-touch Full-HD IPS touchscreen. How useful is the 360-degree flip-and-fold design?

Brillant. Acer's smallest convertible is now available with a Full-HD display. The price difference is only 30 Euro (~$37) and seems to be well worth it. But is the battery life is shorter than before and how fast is the new CPU? In our review, we try to answer both questions and take a detailed look at the display as well.

Hello Broadwell! Intel introduces the next generation of CPU technology. Lenovo’s brand-new Yoga 3 Pro Convertible is one of the first devices with the new Core-M processors. How does the new chip perform compared to Intel’s Haswell ULV processors? What can you expect from the third generation of the Lenovo Yoga? Here are our initial impressions and measurements ahead of our upcoming test.

Budgetary constraints. Detachable keyboard base? Check. IPS touchscreen, svelte metallic casing, Windows 8.1? Check, check, check. It all sounds enticing, but it’s what Toshiba had to cut that sends the Click 2 along an uphill battle.

Flexible premium consumer. The high-quality, 13.3-inch laptop with a 360-degree hinge and touchscreen provides a convertible feel for around 800 Euros (~$1023). It might be the right device for users who are looking for an alternative to Lenovo's Yoga 2 or simply expect a bit more from their laptop.

HP turn around! HP now follows the example set by Lenovo since 2012 with its Yoga. Owing to cleverly designed hinges, the new Pavilion can be used in four different modes. However, we soon discovered that unfortunately the transition is not always smooth.

Press me! The tablet of Toshiba's Click 2 Pro P30W-B-104 convertible can be completely detached from the keyboard dock. The unusual mechanism needs a bit of getting used to. Read in our report why the stylish ultrabook will nevertheless look good on many desks.

Tweaked. Asus has increased the size of its efficacious 10-inch T100 to 11.6-inches without modifying technologies or features. Is that enough to attach to the success of its little Transformer?

Old-school business. Versatility and mobility are very important aspects of Fujitsu's latest convertible. Digitizer and multi-touch are new input methods and UMTS provides the necessary mobility. But it is not enough for an impressive result.

Disappointing display. Asus wants to liberate buyers from having to decide between a tablet and a notebook, unifying the two into one device. Unfortunately, the result in the form of the Transformer Book Flip did not turn out so well.

The business convertible. At a starting price of $1500, the Toshiba Z10t includes high-end hardware in a tablet form and competes directly against the Microsoft Surface models. This updated model includes mostly internal upgrades as we re-analyze the convertible's performance for the 2014 market.

Turn it around. The Asus Transformer Book Flip TP500LN looks like a normal 15.6-inch notebook, but it can be transformed into a tablet in just a few simple steps. So far, all convertibles of this size had to make compromises. Read the review to find out why this device is not completely free of them, either.

Between worlds. The new HP Split x2 does not require a choice between a tablet and a notebook since the convertible combines both types of devices. Besides an IPS display, the convertible attracts attention with very good battery runtimes as well as decent input devices.

Jealous? The HP Envy 15-u001ng wants to make other convertible users jealous with its 360-degree hinge and the metal case. Read our review to find out why this is probably not going to happen.

Robust. The Dell Latitude 12 Rugged Extreme feels at home even in the most adverse environments. The convertible has a robust case, combined with a strong processor and good input devices. But at the price Dell is asking, buyers will certainly have to pay for what they get.
