Samsung Display has detailed several of the foldable display advances in the new panel found in the Galaxy Z Fold 2. No doubt, the move is aimed at assuring would-be customers that the panel is robust and can withstand everyday rigours in a way that wasn’t guaranteed with the original Fold launched last year.

Orange Slovakia has jumped the gun once again, this time with the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE. Also called the S20 Fan Edition, Orange Slovakia's listing follows a similar one by Samsung Philippines last week. The S20 FE will launch in two variants later this month and will be one of the only Samsung smartphones to offer the Snapdragon 865 in Europe.

The Bill of Materials (BoM) for the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G (128 GB variant) has been estimated at a total of US$548.90. As the flagship device currently has an official retail price of US$1,299.99, then this BoM cost is equivalent to 42.22% of the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G’s price tag. The display and the communication components are the priciest parts.

After multiple reports of green tint displays from owners of the OnePlus 8 Pro, Galaxy S20 Ultra, Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, iPhone 11 Pro series, and Galaxy Tab S7 series, it appears the issue also plagues Samsung's older Galaxy S10 series. One case, in particular, showing a tint spreading from the S10e's hole punch.

The One UI 2.5 update is making its way to Galaxy S10 and Galaxy Note 10 phones in Germany. It adds new functions to Pro Video Mode, Single Take Mode, and Samsung Keyboard. Users can also wirelessly cast their phones to select smart TVs via Wireless DeX. Its global rollout is expected to commence soon.

Samsung has announced that it has started fabricating 16-gigabit LPDDR5 RAM for mobile devices. Samsung claims that its new fabrication process is a breakthrough in RAM scaling as well as bandwidth. Expect to see the new RAM in Samsung’s Galaxy S21 due for launch in Q1 2021.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 9, Galaxy S9, and Galaxy S9+ smartphones are likely to receive a cut-down version of the One UI 2.5 Android skin when it becomes available, due to hardware constraints. Samsung has been praised for offering the software update to older Galaxy models in its lineup though.

Owners of the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra (Snapdragon variant), Samsung Galaxy Tab S7, and Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+ have been taking to online forums to report the well-known green tint display issues that many flagship devices have suffered from in the past. The same green tint problem recently affected Galaxy S20 Ultra smartphones too but was fixed with a software update.

The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is billed to be the first Galaxy S device to come with an S Pen, according to a report from a South Korean news outlet. Samsung is reportedly planning on merging the Galaxy S and Galaxy Note line of phones in 2021. An equally-priced foldable device will likely replace the Galaxy Note 21.

Resurrection Remix has announced a new stable version of its custom ROM that is based on Android 10. Resurrection Remix 8.5.7 is now available to download for Xiaomi and Redmi devices, such as the Xiaomi Mi A2, Mi 9T, Redmi Note 7 Pro, Redmi Note 8, and Pocophone F1. The custom ROM can also be used with smartphones from other OEMs.

The Galaxy Note 9 and Galaxy S9 series are over two years old at this point and getting to the end of their major support lifespans. All three phones are set for one last hurrah, however, in the form of the One UI 2.5 update.

The Galaxy S21 series is right about six months away from launch and leaks are already starting to surface. The most recent one concerns the S21 Ultra's main camera, indicating that Samsung will eschew other critically acclaimed sensors in favor of an updated version of its existing 108 MP offering.

Yesterday at Unpacked, Samsung announced that it would improve its software support lifespan to three generations of major OS updates, starting with the Galaxy S10 series which will now receive Android 12 when it's available.

A consultant at DSCC claimed that the Samsung Galaxy S21 will not be featuring an under-display camera, likely due to poor yields and possible compromises in terms of image quality. This could upset hopes of an “all display” Samsung flagship this year.

Qualcomm has published the results of a study conducted by Ookla on 5G speeds in the US and UK for the first and second quarters of 2020 (1-2Q2020). It apparently concludes that the fastest phones in this regard had chipsets and modems made by this prominent chipmaker. Samsung's 5 nm Exynos 1000 SoC may be limited to just the Galaxy S21 Ultra next year with the base Galaxy S21 set to feature the Exynos 992, according to a new leak. Following a cascade of leaks and renders for the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3, a YouTuber recently unboxed the Mystic Bronze variant of the upcoming smartwatch a week ahead of its official unveiling at Samsung Galaxy Unpacked on August 5th.

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition will reportedly use the Galaxy S20's 12MP Sony IMX555 image sensor. It was suggested earlier that the device would come with Samsung's in-house 50MP ISOCELL GN1 sensor. The last-minute change could likely have been implemented as a cost-cutting measure.
