The PlayStation 5 is one of the world’s hottest products at the moment, which means many gamers will have been struggling to make a purchase due to the undesirable actions of scalpers and bots. However, a simple Chrome extension called OctoShop has recently been updated to help in the quest for securing a brand-new PS5 console.

Although no main storyline achievements were included in this recent leak, those that surfaced online via the GOG Galaxy app provide quite a few hints about the kind of side quests that will be included in Projekt RED's upcoming title. By the looks of it, Cyberpunk 2077 will have a total of 45 achievements.

GamersNexus recently confirmed that NVIDIA is working on a platform-agnostic alternative to AMD's Smart Access Cache technology. According to NVIDIA, their Resizable BAR solution delivers a similar performance uplift as Smart Access Cache (up to 10 percent, depending on the title).

The lack of a native 1440p mode on the PlayStation 5 has created issues for owners of 1440p displays. MSI announced an innovative "fix" on some of its monitors, allowing certain 1440p monitors to accept the PlayStation 5's 4K signal and downsample.

Shortly after the RX 6800 XT surfaced in some leaked benchmarks, the upcoming AMD Radeon RX 6800 does the same. According to a Basemark listing (that seems to have been removed in the meantime), the RX 6800 will feature no less than 16 GB of memory and will be much faster than the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070.

Realme launched the V5, which started at around US$212, as a Chinese-market exclusive earlier in the year. Now, however, it appears to have been approved for sale in Thailand, suggesting that this 6.5-inch 90Hz display device may start to become available in other regions soon.

Xiaomi has seeded a new Beta Stable update for the Redmi Note 9 Pro, this time in Europe. V12.0.1.0.QJZEUXM will be available as an OTA for the device and brings all variants of the Redmi Note 9 Pro onto MIUI 12. The global MIUI 12 upgrade for all Redmi Note 8 handsets will be ready next month, according to Xiaomi.

The NanoPi R4S is the latest single-board computer (SBC) by FriendlyElec, and one that packs dual Gigabit Ethernet. The device also includes a Rockchip RK3399 chipset, up to 4 GB of RAM and two USB 3.0 Type-A ports - all on a 66 x 66 mm board.

The Xiaomi Mi Box 4S Pro is available to order globally. The 8K streaming box costs US$78.99 and comes with a remote, along with USB Type-A and HDMI 2.1 connectivity.

A new Redmi smartphone has been showing off its design in some TENAA-listed images. The device, which is possibly going to be a Redmi 10 but could also be a Redmi Note 10, apparently comes with a Snapdragon 662 SoC, LED screen, quad-camera setup, and a jumbo 5,900-mAh battery that is a novelty for a smartphone from Xiaomi.

One UI 2.5 has arrived on more versions of the Galaxy S9, S9 Plus and Note 9. Following the arrival of the OS update for unlocked handsets last month, One UI 2.5 has now reached the T-Mobile and Verizon locked editions of the three devices in the US. One UI 2.5 for the three carrier-versions also includes the October 2020 security patch update, but the November 2020 set has already hit the Note 9 in Germany.

We can already imagine the overclocking potential of the upcoming custom RX 6900 XT cards planned for early 2021. If the RX 6800 XT can match the RTX 3090 that easily, Nvidia's rumored RTX 3080 Ti might still not be enough to secure the crown.

The top single-core score chart for Geekbench 5 is currently headed by a couple of entries that were purportedly produced by a potent combination of an AMD Ryzen 9 5900X and Apple iMac Pro. While the results are breathtaking, the information raises a red flag in regard to how accurate these particular Geekbench listings are.

Rumour has it that Apple plans to release up to five Apple Silicon-backed Mac devices within the next year. Apple is thought to be releasing a new Intel 16-inch MacBook Pro and the long-rumoured AirTags within the next 2-3 weeks, too.

A new leak points to an upcoming Xiaomi phone with what is most likely the Snapdragon 662 processor. It is thought to be the Redmi Note 10 - the 4G/LTE version, that is. Meanwhile, it is rumored to get 5G variants with much newer SoCs and possibly higher-end specs.

The Lucienne Zen 2-based part showed good improvements over the Renoir Ryzen 7 4700U and includes SMT. However, the difference fades considerably when the Ryzen 7 5700U is compared with the Ryzen 7 4800U.

Scalpers are already making bank on the PS5 launch with successful listings ending at around $1000 USD or two times the retail price of the actual console. The system will likely remain out of reach for most users throughout the rest of the year.

The new Apple iPhone 12 has been tested for its audio quality by DxOMark and has scored relatively well to give it a high position in the site’s audio chart. However, the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro’s place at the top of the table has not been threatened, regardless of Apple’s improvements over the iPhone 11’s audio playback and recording.

TSMC's 5 nm production is mostly focused on Apple's A14 Bionic SoCs and apparently cannot meet the projected order volume for the M1 chips. Since Samsung is the only other foundry to have operational 5 nm nodes, the South Korean foundries could once again become an Apple supplier. Nevertheless, the low yields on Samsung's 5 nm nodes might lead to sub-par performance on some M1 chips.

Samsung's newest mid-range mobile chipset, the Exynos 1080, is finally official. It features a 1+3+4 configuration with four Cortex-A78 and Cortex-A55 cores, an ARM Mali-G78 GPU, and an integrated 5G modem that supports mmWave and sub-6GHz networks. It is expected to be released alongside the Vivo X60 soon.

Huami appears to be busy with rapidly expanding its Amazfit GTR and GTS lineups. Details for an Amazfit GTS 2e smartwatch were recently shared online and this was rapidly followed by leaked information about a potential Amazfit GTR 2e wearable. It’s not yet known if Huami will utilize the term “lite” in the names of these upcoming devices.

Lenovo's Yoga Duet 7 is an interesting alternative to the Microsoft Surface Pro 7 but can't quite keep up. If at least it had a more attractive price, things might look different.

The current Apple iMac offers a great 5K screen, a good looking aluminum case, and great speakers. However, the all-in-one struggles to utilize the full potential of the components. You should be careful with the boxes you tick when you buy an iMac.
