The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro will receive MIUI 12 across all variants before the month is out
Xiaomi should have the rollout of MIUI 12 finished by the end of the month, according to a General Manager of the company, Alvin Tse. To clarify, we are referring to the Redmi Note 9 Pro codenamed 'joyeuse', not 'curtana', which Xiaomi only sells as the Redmi Note 9 Pro in India. Xiaomi sells 'curtana' as the Redmi Note 9S, for reference.
To date, MIUI 12 has reached at least the Indonesian, Russian and Turkish versions of the Redmi Note 9 Pro. With those three variants already covered off, that leaves Xiaomi with devices enrolled on the global and European branches of MIUI left to upgrade. Based on what Tse has written, both variants should receive MIUI 12 by the start of December.
Xiaomi is partway there with the global variant, too. Earlier this week, the company released V12.0.1.0.QJZMIXM as a Beta Stable update to some handsets, meaning that it is undergoing the final round of testing before a wider release. There is no sign of a corresponding update for the European variant, but a Beta Stable build should arrive within the next week or so if Xiaomi plans to hit its November target.
