Zepp Z smartwatch promo teasers reveal a classic-looking wearable that should offer cutting-edge health and fitness innovations from Huami
While the Zepp Z smartwatch from Huami is still somewhat hidden in the shadows, especially in terms of its specifications and price, the Chinese OEM has at least been teasing its design a bit more and suggesting that the Zepp Z will come with an “innovative health management solution”. Huami is noted for its health-related technologies, such as BioTracker to check the user’s heart rate, SomnusCare for sleep quality monitoring, and OxygenBeats for blood oxygen level measurement.
It’s likely the Zepp Z will be sports/fitness oriented, with one of the promo videos featuring a brief glimpse at the smartwatch among edits of people running and swimming. Another promo clip revealed the specific launch date time (17:00 GMT on November 17) whereas the latest teaser fulfils its job description by teasing the Zepp Z without really fully showing it (see below).
The most recent clip shows the circular design of the Zepp Z and the three hardware buttons, along with a likely leather strap and metal housing. It’s clearly a premium product from Huami and will probably be priced higher than the fashion-targeted Zepp E, which costs €249. Built-in GPS would certainly be a welcome addition, along with the inclusion of the company’s award-winning hardware innovations and health and fitness tools.
