Huami has shared the first teasers of its next smartwatch on Chinese social network Weibo. As expected, the device is the Amazfit GTS 2 mini, which we saw at the FCC earlier this month. Huami has confirmed that it will launch the GTS 2 mini on December 1, so the company will probably publish more teasers over the weekend.
Huami has not revealed any details about the Amazfit GTS 2 mini, but the FCC listing sheds some light on the upcoming smartwatch. As the screenshot below shows, the Amazfit GTS 2 mini will have a rectangular display with comparatively large squircle bezels.
Bezels that large should indicate that Huami will price the device cheaply, so we do not expect it to exceed US$75. The FCC listing also confirms that the Amazfit GTS 2 mini will have a single physical button and has been assigned the model number A2018.
Rumour has it that the device will feature a continuous heart rate monitor, along with numerous workout modes. Huami may include an OLED panel, blood oxygen saturation monitoring and built-in GPS too, but these could be dropped to help the company distinguish the mini from its more expensive smartwatches.
