Amazfit GTS 2 Mini FCC certification reveals design and global and Europe release plans for the Huami smartwatch
Some details about the Huami Amazfit GTS 2 Mini smartwatch were revealed last month when basic renders of the device were discovered in app code. Now more concrete information about the upcoming wearable has been made available thanks to its recent FCC certification. Being certified by the Federal Communications Commission of the US obviously points to a North American launch; however, there is also a further detail that points to Europe availability for the Amazfit GTS 2 Mini.
As pointed out by XiaomiToday, the images of the Amazfit GTS 2 Mini included in the FCC report show the CE marking that is mandatory for products that are going to be sold in the European Economic Area that adhere to certain health and safety standards (it’s not a mark of quality assurance). This means the Huami Amazfit GTS 2 Mini is likely to be launched in both the US and Europe.
The design of the Amazfit GTS 2 Mini shows a smartwatch with a small centralized display and a compact control button on the right-hand side. The display is surrounded by considerably thick bezels, with the “chin” looking especially broad. As for the features that the Huami Amazfit GTS 2 Mini will have, little is currently known, although it is likely it will copy many of the Amazfit GTS 2’s utilities but come at a much more affordable price.
