Huami Amazfit GTS 2 mini arrives with a large AMOLED screen and a minimal design
Huami has unveiled two smartwatches today, of which the Amazfit GTS 2 mini is one. The name already suggests what the smartwatch offers, namely a mini version of the Amazfit GTS 2. Huami has done away with the 1.65-inch display of the Amazfit GTS 2, for example, leaving a 1.55-inch one in place. This change means that the Amazfit GTS 2 mini is smaller than the regular model too. According to Huami, the Amazfit GTS 2 mini measures 40.5 x 35.8 x 8.95 mm and weighs 19.5 g, making it lighter than the Amazfit GTS 2, also.
The Amazfit GTS 2 mini has an AMOLED screen though, albeit a lower resolution one compared to the Amazfit GTS 2, that resolves at 354 x 306 pixels. The battery capacity has also been reduced from 246 mAh to 220 mAh, but the Amazfit GTS 2 mini will still reputedly last up to seven days of active use between charges. Enabling basic mode will allow the smartwatch to last an additional fortnight before it needs recharging, too.
Huami has included a SpO2 sensor in the Amazfit GTS 2 mini, along with a heart rate monitor, an NFC module and many of the other features with which it equipped the Amazfit GTS 2. The Amazfit GTS 2 mini is available in Deep Pine Green, Rose Powder and Obsidian Black for CNY 699 (~US$106). Huami is yet to disclose if it plans to release the Amazfit GTS 2 mini outside of China, though.
