Huawei has brought more features to the Watch GT 2 Pro, approximately two months on from its last feature update. In October, Huawei enabled SpO2 monitoring on its high-end smartwatch, although Huawei Blog claims that the company pushed several updates in November that claimed to the same thing. Now, version 10.1.3.28 of Lite OS introduces two features that had been missing from the Watch GT 2 Pro.
According to the official changelog, these are the ability to display a 24-hour weather forecast and the option to adapt workouts to individual preferences. The update is a large one at 214 MB, which has led Huawei Blog to speculate that it may contain code necessary to eventually upgrade the Watch GT 2 Pro to HarmonyOS. Huawei is expected to bring HarmonyOS to up to 48 devices, of which the Watch GT 2 Pro is one. However, an initial public beta may not be ready until early Q2 2021.
Honor is issuing a new update for the MagicWatch 2, too. However, version 1.0.10.8 is only a 21.5 MB download, which should offer a clue about the volume of changes it brings to the smartwatch. The changelog states that version 1.0.10.8 fixes a few bugs, improves system stability and introduces more detailed evaluations after strength training workouts. The update also adds shortcuts for navigating to favourite features as quickly as possible. Both updates can be downloaded through the Huawei Health app. Your smartwatch must have at least 20% charge to commence upgrading.
