An HP Enterprise dual processor server with a couple of 32-core AMD EPYC 7513 Milan chips inside it has been spotted on Geekbench. The upcoming Zen 3 parts teamed up to produce a huge result that was +8% over the average recorded by the Ryzen Threadripper 3990X. The EPYC 7513 processors paced themselves at a base rate of 2.60 GHz.

Intel has unveiled the Iris Xe desktop graphics card, better known by its codename of DG1. The Iris Xe Graphics has a 30 W TDP, 4 GB of VRAM and will only be available via OEMs. The Iris Xe DG1 will probably compete against NVIDIA's budget cards, such as the Pascal-based GeForce GT 1010.

The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra may be cheaper than its predecessor, but it remains an expensive smartphone by contemporary standards. Nonetheless, if you want to spend a little more on a Galaxy S21 Ultra, then Caviar has introduced a whole range of limited edition models. The range includes the 'Golden 21' edition, which costs more than US$75,000.

It looks like Samsung plans to unveil a successor to the Galaxy Tab S6 in the not-too-distant future. Four model numbers of unreleased Samsung tablets suggest so, at any rate. MSI has defended its decision to omit GPU wattages from its new NVIDIA GeForce 30 series gaming laptops, despite the considerable differences in performance between some GPUs of the same name. Apparently, MSI believes that it would be unable to inform people that one RTX 3080 GPU has an 80 W TGP, while another has a 150 W TGP. Its justification has left us unconvinced, though.

Samsung may have committed to delivering three OS updates to its smartphones and tablets, but it remains conservative in other areas regarding Android updates. The Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 Plus and Galaxy S21 Ultra are the latest Samsung smartphones that do not support A/B seamless system updates, which has become standard among competitors. There is an advantage to not adopting seamless Android updates, though.

A Chinese retailer has hinted that the Xiaomi Redmi K40 series will be purchasable from the middle of next month. We may only be two weeks from the Redmi K40 series' debut though, which may coincide with New Year's Eve in China. Supposed hands-on images of the Redmi K40 Pro have appeared online too, but we are doubtful of their authenticity.

A new report suggests that Intel has outsourced a good chunk of its future manufacturing to TSMC. Production is expected to kick off when TSMC's 3nm node is fully operational, which is expected to happen sometime in H2 2022. Intel is reportedly assisting TSMC in its 2nm R&D too.

Rumours about Nintendo releasing a more powerful version of the Switch persist. Now, a leaker claims that the device will arrive as the Nintendo Super Switch. However, developers have questioned the benefits of Nintendo releasing a more powerful eighth-generation console. An internal MSI document has spilled the beans about three Intel Rocket Lake-S processors, the Core i9-11900K, Core i7-11700K and Core i5-11600K. It reconfirms reports from earlier, stating that the Core i9-11900K and Core i7-11700K would come with eight cores and sixteen threads, while the Core i5-11600K will serve as six-core, twelve thread CPU. It also sheds some light on the processor's base clock, boost clock, L3 cache, etc.

Micron has launched its latest form of DRAM, which is also now in volume production. Intel's Xe DG1 dGPU will only work with select CPU and chipset combinations and will require a BIOS update in order to be recognized. Intel said that Coffee Lake-S and Comet Lake-S CPUs are supported on specific midrange and budget 300 and 400-series chipsets. This rules out any possibility of the GPU being compatible with AMD systems.

The Sony Xperia 10 II is finally receiving the Android 11 update. Its version number is 59.1.A.0.485, and it is approximately 1GB in size. Apart from the usual Android 11 features, the update also adds a new Battery Care feature.

The Intel Core i7-11700 has been spotted producing an enormous single-core score on a synthetic benchmark site. The Rocket Lake-S chip outpaced the i7-10700K by quite a margin and even scored higher than the maximum result for the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X. However, this strong i7-11700 mark was recorded on the contentious UserBenchmark site.
