The Your Phone app in Windows 10 has acted to effectively mimic iPhone syncing on Mac, but for Android devices. It has also allowed users with these devices to mirror their phone screens on PCs via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). However, this has come to an end in the latest Insiders' build.

In addition to the iconic Kamov Ka-50 single-seat attack helicopter — surnamed "Black Shark" — War Thunder 1.93 comes with the first three Swedish planes, a new Abrams tank, the first Italian helicopter, a new location, the first rank V ship in the game, as well as the usual pack of minor tweaks and fixes.

The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER may seem enticing with its US$229 price tag, but the AMD Radeon RX 590 currently has the last word on value for money. The Polaris-based GPU can be had for practically US$100 right now and remains powerful enough for 1080p gaming.

NVIDIA and its partners have announced the GeForce GTX 16 SUPER series, the SUPER upgrades to the GTX 1650 and GTX 1660. While the former will arrive on November 22, the latter is available to purchase now and has already been shown to offer GTX 1660 Ti like performance for just US$229.

The leaks allegedly come from sources attending Nvidia's latest AIB partner briefings on the upcoming Ampere GPUs that are scheduled to launch in 1H 2020. Among the improvements rumored to come to the RTX 3000-series, the leaks point to greatly increased ray tracing performance, boosted rasterization capabilities, more VRAM for each model, slightly higher clocks, but lower TDPs and voltages that could lead to limited overclocking range.

The two leading foundries unexpectedly dropped any patent infringement claims and struck an agreement that allows both parties to license each other’s existing patents. Additionally, the agreement would also cover any other patents that would be filed by any side in the next 10 years.

The GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER looks set to be a decent mid-range offering by NVIDIA, with the card offering almost GTX 1660 Ti performance at GTX 1660 pricing. The US$229 GPU is slated for an October 29 launch and has flexed its muscles in another gaming benchmark ahead of its official unveiling.

The first benchmarks of the Intel Core i9-10980XE Cascade Lake-X have been published early and the processor seems to be facing tough competition from the likes of the AMD Ryzen 9 3900X. In tests such as Cinebench R20, the 10980XE seems to have posted lower scores than even the Core i9-9980XE. The 10980XE's initial data however seem to be not a very good representative of a mature platform such as Skylake.

The Canon RF lens series has now added its 9th and 10th members, in the form of the 70-200mm F2.8L IS USM and 85mm F1.2L USM DS products respectively. The former is described as the most compact device in its class, whereas the latter debuts the novel feature of Defocus Smoothing. The OEM asserts that either would be an asset to those with EOS R or RP cameras.

The latest AGESA 1.0.0.4 microcode update for AMD Ryzen 3000 processors seems to enhance all-core boost clocks and improve boot times, according to preliminary test results. This update is in beta and will soon be seeded for all compatible Ryzen motherboards, but it does not yet contain all the improvements that are touted to be available in this microcode release.

Intel CEO Bob Swan presented the Q3 2019 earnings report on Thursday. Intel's performance in enterprise ensured good earnings despite its consumer CPUs taking a backseat due to competition from AMD. Swan also confirmed that Intel's first dGPU, the Xe DG1, has achieved the important milestone of "power on exit".

Intel might think it can get away with an optimistic Q3 2019 earnings report, but AMD's rising market shares paint a different picture. Intel's ongoing CPU shortages and the difficulties encountered with the 10 nm jump are allowing AMD to relentlessly accrue market shares in the desktop, laptop and server markets.

The latest pico-ITX motherboard from Gigabyte comes with an embedded Celeron N3350 dual-core SoC that is powerful enough for video decoding loads. Users have the possibility to add up to 8 GB of LPDDR3-1866 RAM, a SATA HDD and an mSATA PCIe SSD, plus an m.2 Wi-Fi module. The diminutive motherboard is smaller than a high-end smartphone.

No sooner had news arrived that the GTX 1650 SUPER would be arriving next month, has a host of specifications been confirmed too. Surprisingly, it seems that NVIDIA has pulled the same trick for the GTX 1650 SUPER that it did with the RTX 2070 SUPER, essentially creating a GTX 1660 Lite rather than a SUPER version of the GTX 1650.

Phoronix found some more evidence of upcoming multi-GPU features for Intel's upcoming Xe GPUs. However, unlike Nvidia's and AMD's implementations, Intel may be looking to support a hybrid version that allows Xe discrete cards to be paired with the iGPUs coming with the gen 12 CPUs scheduled to release next year.

Remember the rumors about the GeForce GTX 1650 Ti? Well, apparently it has now morphed into the GTX 1650 SUPER, or potentially been scrapped in favour of the latter. Pricing remains unknown, but expect a sub-US$200 retail price for this GDDR6 and late-November bound GPU.

NVIDIA is slated to launch the GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER before the end of the month, and @TUM_APISAK is on hand to deliver an insight into how the GPU compares with its peers. The card nearly reaches GTX 1660 Ti levels while breezing past the GTX 1660. It even has the AMD Radeon RX 5700 and GeForce GTX 1070 in its sights too, apparently.

Previously thought to be launched in early-2020, the Gemini Lake Refresh CPUs are now expected to release in late-2020 with higher clocks and possibly upgraded iGPUs. New leaks unveil the specs for three new 10 W TDP J-series and three new 6 W TDP N-series processors designed for mini PCs and budget laptops.

A new report has claimed that Intel could be preparing to heavily discount its 9th Gen Skylake-X series of high-end desktop (HEDT) CPUs. The 8-core i7-9800X could end up being priced at around €360 (~US$400) while the top-end SKU, the 18-core i9-9980XE, has been predicted to be discounted to around €950 (~US$1,058).

Current qubit-based quantum computers are still too large and not really scalable, but the new laser-based approach allows for a highly-scalable model that can eventually achieve quantum supremacy just by splitting laser beams into "squeezable light."

The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER is on its way and will arrive before the end of the month, according to confirmation that Videocardz has received from its sources. The new GPU will sit between the GTX 1660 and GTX 1660 Ti in NVIDIA's product stack, with its pricing reflecting that. Oddly, the GTX 1660 SUPER will outdo the GTX 1660 Ti in some areas, while retaining elements of the GTX 1660 too.

New benchmark scores of the AMD Ryzen 9 3950X seem to indicate that AMD's upcoming flagship CPU can offer performance equivalent to Intel's HEDT chips such as the Core i9-9980XE and the Core i9-10980XE while beating them in terms of performance per dollar. The Ryzen 9 3950X was benchmarked using Cinebench R20 at stock settings.

The Intel Cascade Lake-X series launched earlier this month to the tune of price cuts and offering great value for money. However, not all looks rosy for the blue team, as its premier High-End Desktop (HEDT) chip has been resoundingly beaten by the AMD Ryzen 9 3950X in leaked 3DMark results. Intel may have even more competition on its hands with Zen 2-based Threadripper HEDT processors launching next month too.

Some new Geekbench scores for AMD’s Ryzen 9 3950X have been unearthed and unsurprisingly the 16-core chip has performed admirably in the multi-core tests. Two separate benchmarks have been discovered, with AMD’s Zen 2 processor appearing on a Prime X570-P motherboard from Asus and a B450 Aorus Pro Wi-Fi board from Gigabyte.

With some Zen 2-based processors still in the pipeline, AMD confirmed that the design of the Zen 3 architecture is complete and the testing/manufacturing stages should soon follow. Even more, Zen 4 and Zen 5 are both being designed already and — if everything goes according to plan — the latter is set to arrive in 2022.

The QD-OLED technology promises to lower production costs by three times and improve color gamut along with light output over conventional OLEDs. Samsung has been against the adoption of OLEDs in large screen devices for over 5 years now, but the QD-OLED technology somehow changed the company's perspective, as it plans to heavily invest in OLED panels and eventually convert most of its LCD lines into OLED.

Xiaomi has announced the existence of the Mi Surface via its Weibo channel. It is a 34-inch 1500R-curved monitor with a 21:9 aspect ratio. This new panel is also rated for AMD FreeSync and 121% of the sRGB color space. The Mi Surface is to be released on October 21, 2019.

Since the 3700X and 3800X 8-core CPUs are already available, the launch of the 3750X for retail channels might not happen at all. The specs would have to be too similar to the 3800X and a price point between US$330 and US$400 would not really be that justified. AMD may consider launching the 3750X model for OEMs, however.

The industrial-grade rugged enclosure made of aluminum featured with the Mini Multi Display PC does not come with any active cooling in order to protect against dust, debris and moisture. The system is powered by AMD's Ryzen Embedded V1605B APU with integrated Vega 8 GPU that supports four 4K video connections, and can be equipped with up to 32 GB of DDR4-3200 RAM and up to 2 TB M.2 SSD storage.

The LGA 4677 platform will add support for PCIe 5.0 and 8-channel DDR5 RAM for the upcoming 10 nm+++ Sapphire Rapids and 7 nm Granite Rapids server-grade Xeon CPUs, which are supposed to compete with AMD's EPYC Milan and Genoa processors. The first 7 nm server CPUs from Intel are expected to launch in 2022, so desktop-grade CPUs supporting those new features will be released later on.

Fresh rumors have surfaced indicating that Intel would scrap 10nm on the desktop altogether and instead, directly launch 7nm Meteor Lake chips sometime in 2022 as 10nm has not yet reached the high clocks and yields required for desktops. However, Intel has refuted these rumors and clarified that 'great progress' is being made on 10nm that also includes desktop products.

Even though it might be a short-lived standard, the PCIe 4.0 is slowly seeing more adoption, and the latest price cuts for the NVMe 4.0 SSDs should certainly make things more affordable for AMD users who want to pair their Ryzen 3000 CPUs with faster storage solutions.

It seems that AMD has listened to its customers, having added support for its Radeon Image Sharpening algorithm to Radeon Vega GPUs. Last month the company claimed it had no immediate plans to do so, but it would bring RIS to the Vega series if there was enough interest. Good news then, Radeon RX Vega 56, RX Vega 64, Vega Frontier Edition and Radeon VII owners?

References to DirectX ray tracing were found in the latest AMD drivers indicating that AMD could be enabling ray tracing support for the RX 5000-series Navi GPUs with the release of the December update for Radeon Adrenalin Software. Although just a software fix for now, this could pave the way for hardware-accelerated ray tracing in the upcoming Navi GPUs based on RDNA 2.0.

The Intel Comet Lake Core i3-10100 has surfaced on the Sisoftware database confirming that it is indeed a 4C/8T part as speculated. Not much information is there about the processor itself apart from the fact that it has a base speed of 3.6 GHz and a 6 MB L3 cache. Intel Comet Lake CPUs are part of the 10th generation and will continue to be fabbed on the 14nm process.

At this year's IDC event in Tokyo, Intel disclosed a few more details about the upcoming Xe GPU architecture. Besides the hardware-level ray tracing support on the discrete GPUs launching in mid-2020, Intel also intends to double the performance of the current Ice Lake Iris Plus iGPUs on the Gen 12 Xe GPUs integrated with the Tiger Lake CPUs.

Codenamed "the Element," Intel's modular concept is based on PCIe boards that integrate CPU, RAM, SSD and a variety of connectors. These boards use 16 PCIe lanes and can be combined with other accelerators like GPUs, compute units etc. Furthermore, the CPU, RAM and SSD can be upgraded separately, or the entire module can be swapped for an upgraded one.

Intel announced its new Xeon W-2200 HEDT CPUs earlier this week. The Cascade Lake-X chips offer some upgrades over the current Xeon silicon, including clock speeds up to 4.8 GHz and 18-core/36 thread CPUs. Most interestingly, Intel is pricing the Xeon W-2200 family of processors significantly lower than previous Xeon CPUs.

Both CPUs feature a 65 W TDP and support 24/16 PCIe 4 lanes. The Ryzen 9 3900 comes with 12 cores and 24 threads clocked at 3.1 GHz (4.3 GHz boost) and integrates 70 MB total cache memory, while the Ryzen 5 3500X gets only 6 cores and 6 threads clocked at 3.6 GHz (4.1 GHz boost) plus 35 MB total cache memory.

The jump from 8-layer to 12-layer 3D TSV DRAM designs will enable AIB integrators to include as much as 96 GB of HBM2 DRAM on a single board, increasing the memory bus to 4,096-bit. The resulting increase in memory bandwidth will prove beneficial to AI, HPC and FPGA applications.

However, the common-or-garden integrated circuit will continue to influence the market into the next decade.

The apparent demand has driven the number of individual services to match in the country. It has grown by 1.4 times since 2014.

AMD recently unveiled a roadmap for its EPYC line of server-grade CPUs. The Zen 3 ("Milan") and Zen 4 ("Genoa") EPYC CPUs look like they will continue to pressure Intel's enterprise business. While Milan looks more like a refinement of the current Rome EPYC CPUs, Genoa may bring support for DDR5 RAM and PCIe 5.0.

Turtle Beach has released the Atlas Edge, a new USB adapter for any conventional wired headset. It is intended to enhance any headset connected to it with an in-house panel of software called Control Studio. This suite is designed to convert audio through the Atlas Edge into a "full panoramic 3D audio experience".

The latest Insider's version of Windows 10 updates the Your Phone app so that it is compatible with the Samsung Galaxy S10 series, as well as the Galaxy Fold. This allows a user to monitor battery levels, screen-mirror and sync data. However, Microsoft has stated that these new features will be available to certain regions only to start off with.

AMD announced two new GPUs today. The Radeon RX 5500 and its mobile equivalent, the Radeon RX 5500M, will make their debuts in various machines before the end of the year. The RX 5500M, in particular, will appear in the MSI Alpha 15, which we should get in our lab later this month. The RX 5500M should offer performance somewhere between the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti Max-Q and the GeForce GTX 1660 Ti, which would make it suitable for gaming at FHD/High settings.

Intel has hinted that the first of its eagerly anticipated Xe discrete GPUs will launch in June 2020. The launch date has been discerned from a cryptic tweet posted by the head of the project and former AMD GPU chief Raja Koduri.
