Intel Core i3-10100T chip's performance on UserBenchmark gives hope for Comet Lake budget options
The Intel Core i3-10100T has been spotted by Tum Apisak on UserBenchmark being tested as a component of a Dell Precision 3640 Tower. The average bench awarded to the Comet Lake processor was 67.9%, which the benchmark considers to be a “good” result. The i3-10100T is a 4-core, 8-thread part that is expected to have a 35 W TDP.
The benchmark database record for the Comet Lake i3-10100T states a base clock of 3.0 GHz and an average turbo of 3.5 GHz. The single sample pulled up scores of 109 points for the 1-core test and 206 points in the 2-core test. Unsurprisingly, it was much weaker in the multi-core tests: 4-core - 354 points, 8-core - 570 points, 64-core - 549 points.
However, the Intel Core i3-10100T is at the budget end of the Comet Lake-S lineup, with some leaks claiming this particular processor will only cost €129 (~US$143). At that price, and with the respectable 1-core and 2-core performance, it seems Intel’s Comet Lake family can at least offer some competition at this end of the market.
