Xiaomi’s massive new smart TV from its Redmi brand, the Redmi MAX 100”, has now gone on pre-sale in China. For just 1,000-yuan (US$158) deposit, fans can secure one of the 100-inch sets for their living space. The Redmi MAX 100” is a 4K (3840x2160) smart TV that measures 2,235 mm (88 inches) in overall length and weighs 64.6 kg (142 lbs.).

Samsung picks new PCIe 5.0 SSD testers as Intel and AMD prepare to release more processors with support for the faster storage interface

Intel and AMD will be releasing new server farm processors that support the new PCIe 5.0 interface standard and Samsung wants to be ready with storage products when that happens. Samsung has reportedly held bids to diversify its PCIe 5.0 SSD testing suppliers to better its QA processes on the runup to the launch of the fast mission-critical SSDs.

The Xiaomi 12 Pro supposedly matches the Google Pixel 6 and Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra in camera tests

The Xiaomi 12 Pro remains Xiaomi's most premium smartphone for the year until the Xiaomi 12 Ultra or Mix 5 series debut. The flagship has now been put through DxOMark's camera tests, and appears to keep up with traditional heavy hitters like the Google Pixel 6 and Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra.
