Huawei has unveiled the Vision Smart Screen Z65 Gaming Edition in China. As its name suggests, the Smart TV has a 65-inch display and is positioned to gamers as an alternative to an external monitor. According to Huawei, the 65-inch panel has a 120 Hz refresh rate, a 4K native resolution and 92% DCI-P3 colour space coverage. Supposedly, Huawei has equipped the Smart TV with a 'flagship processor', although it has not provided any details about it.
Additionally, the Vision Smart Screen Z65 Gaming Edition has 6 GB of RAM, 64 GB of storage and a six-speaker set up tuned by Devialet. Operating in a 2.1-channel configuration, the speakers should deliver up to 50 W of power, which Huawei believes is enough to act in lieu of a soundbar. Moreover, the device has three HDMI ports, two operating on the HDMI 2.0 standard and a third that leverages HDMI 2.1 with a 48 Gbps bandwidth, HDMI VRR and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM).
Incidentally, Huawei claims that the Smart TV supports game streaming; it remains to be seen what services come pre-loaded though, such as NVIDIA GeForce NOW or Xbox Cloud Gaming. The Huawei Vision Smart Screen Z65 Gaming Edition is available for CNY 7,999 (~US$ ) in China. Alternatively, the company sells a 75-inch version, marketed as the Z75, for CNY 12,999 (~US$). Unfortunately, Huawei has not confirmed whether it intends to launch the Smart TV globally.
