Exclusive | First NVIDIA Ampere mobile benchmarks: Up to 18% faster than Turing mobile, but don't expect Ampere desktop-class performance

We have obtained exclusive first synthetic benchmarks run on pre-sample gaming laptops powered by NVIDIA's new Ampere mobile GPUs, the RTX 3060 Mobile, RTX 3070 Mobile, and the RTX 3080 Mobile. These preliminary numbers show Ampere mobile offering anywhere between 7% to 18% performance improvements over their Turing predecessors. However, they do seem to lag behind their desktop versions considerably.

A cut-down RTX 3080 in a car? NIO ET7 sedan will use four NVIDIA Drive Orin SoCs for automated driving and AI

Chinese electric automaker NIO announced that its latest electric vehicle ET7 will use NVIDIA Drive Orin SoC for AI-assisted driving. The ET7 will use Orin in a cluster of four to form the Adam supercomputer, which is capable of processing 8 GB of data from the vehicle's 33 sensors each second. The ET7 is certified to meet ISO 26262 ASIL-D safety standards and will ship in 2022.
