The GeForce RTX 3080 Ti's specifications and ETH mining performance have leaked, just a day after a report detailed the card's price and anti-mining measures yesterday. Apparently, NVIDIA has chosen the GA102-225 GPU, which can achieve up to 118.9 MH/s under the right conditions.

GeForce RTX 3080 Ti leaks are piling up again, having gone quiet for a few weeks in early April. Last week, someone photographed an RTX 3080 Ti shipment, while ITHome has detailed the upcoming card's pricing and anti-mining measures. Now, Videocardz has published photos of the RTX 3080 Ti's GPU, along with a screenshot showing its specifications and ETH performance.

As expected, NVIDIA has chosen the GA102-225 GPU for the RTX 3080 Ti, having repurposed the GA102-250 for newer RTX 3090 cards. According to the GPU-Z screenshot provided, the GA102-225 has 12 GB of GDDR6X VRAM operating on a 384-bit bus width. These should combine to deliver about a 912 GB/s bandwidth with a 19 Gbps stock speed, whereas the screenshot shows the VRAM overclocked to 21.4 Gbps.

GPU-Z reports that the RTX 3080 Ti has lower base and boost clock speeds than the RTX 3080 and RTX 3090, albeit only by 30 MHz in the RTX 3090's case. The GPU-Z screenshot confirms that the GA102-225 has 10,240 CUDA cores and 112 ROPs too, putting it at a slight disadvantage compared to the RTX 3090.

Additionally, the same screenshot shows the RTX 3080 Ti achieving 118.9 MH/s when mining ETH. However, the card's power limit has been dropped from 320 W to 278 W, and its VRAM has received a 12% overclock. Apparently, NVIDIA plans to halve the card's ETH mining power through new firmware, although it remains to be seen how long it will take people to find a way around this.
