Dell introduces Inspiron 16 Plus content creator laptop with 16:10 3K display, Tiger Lake-H CPUs and up to an Nvidia RTX 3060 GPU
The new Dell Inspiron 16 Plus is targeted at content creators and offers powerful specs that include the new Intel Tiger Lake-H processors combined with Nvidia’s mobile Ampere dGPU solutions plus high-quality displays and a robust thermal system.
Content creators can now take advantage of the latest 16-inch 3K (3072 x 1920) displays with 16:10 aspect ratio, which enlarge the active area of the screen by 11% while only increasing the dimension of the device 5% vs. the previous 15” generation. The high-quality panels feature 10-bit color depth , 1000:1 contrast ratio, 100% sRGB color coverage, and 300 nit brightness.
Dell does not specify the exact CPU options, but we can safely assume that at least the i7 Tiger Lake-H processors will be included. As for the robust cooling system and the top dGPU options, Dell mentions that configurations with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 graphics boast 3 fans and 5 heat pipes while all other configurations employ 2 fans and 3 heat pipes. All configurations feature 4 vents.
RAM capacities range up to 32 GB DDR4-3200 and can be easily upgraded thanks to the dual slot feature. There is only one M.2 PCIe NVMe slot that supports SSDs with up to 2 TB capacities. Port selection includes 1x Thunderbolt 4 and 2x USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 connectors, HDMI 2.0b video output, SD card reader and a combo audio jack. Other features include Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, optional fingerprint reader, HD webcam with shutter slider, a lid open sensor, adaptive thermals, and 56 or 86 Wh battery options with ExpressCharge function.
Starting price for the new Dell Inspiron 16 Plus laptop is set at US$949.99 and North American / EMEA retailers are expected to beggin shipping this model on June 3.
