It looks like Dell really wants to get rid of all of its current Inspiron 14 stock. After having bumped down the price to $700 USD just a few weeks ago, the system is now down to just $519 to be almost $200 cheaper.
There is a catch to the new deal, of course. Core specifications have been bumped down from the Core i7-1165G7 CPU and 16 GB of RAM on the $700 SKU to the Core i5-1135G7 CPU with just 8 GB of single-channel RAM on the $519 SKU. Thankfully, any performance differences between the Core i5 and Core i7 will be mostly trivial for typical browsing or streaming loads while the limited 8 GB of RAM can thankfully be upgraded. Perhaps most importantly, the display remains the same at 1080p instead of the horrid 768p option that remains commonplace on laptops in this price range.
We've yet to review the Inspiron 14 5402 and so we can't offer our personal experiences with the model. But, for a little over $500, this looks to be one of the better deals available at the moment.
