GPU maker Colorful enters budget laptop market with 15-inch gaming models featuring Comet Lake-H processors and GTX 1650 Ti graphics
Renowned Chinese GPU maker Colorful is diversifying its portfolio with budget gaming laptops. Colorful’s first ever laptop model is dubbed JiangXing X15 and comes with Comet Lake-H processors complemented by Nvidia’s GTX 1650 Ti dGPUs.
The chassis of the new laptop is a bit on the bulky side with a 21.9 mm (0.86 inches) profile and 1.86 kg (4.1 lbs) weight. The internals include a Wind 2.0 cooling system with 2 fans and 4 heatpipes that can be configured via a special control panel to run as silent as possible or at maximum speed when gaming. On the display side, we find a 15.6-inch matte IPS panel with 1080p resolution, 144 Hz refresh rate, 100% sRGB color gamut, and 300 nit peak brightness.
Colorful offers i5-10300H and i7-10870H processor options, which can be coupled with either 8 GB or 16 GB of RAM (upgradeable to 32 GB) and 512 GB SSD storage. Port selection includes 1x USB-C 3.2 Gen 2, 2x USB-A 3.2 Gen 1, 1x USB-A 2.0, audio jacks, GbE jack, and Mini DP + HDMI 1.4 video outputs. There is also a Wi-Fi 6 card.
The new Colorful JianXing X15 gaming laptops can now be ordered from JD.com. Pricing for the i5 models starts at ~US$850, while the i7 with 16 GB of RAM costs a little bit over US$1,000.
