Colorful's latest gaming laptop has debuted with 13th-gen Intel Core processors and up to RTX 4070 graphics. The EVOL X16 PRO also boasts 240Hz display options, as well as a "multi-zone cooling system" that can be adjusted in a number of ways, simple keyboard shortcuts included. The new 16-inch PC also offers the option of user-upgradable storage and a Thunderbolt 4 port.

The Colorful EVOL X16 PRO's black ~19.9mm high aluminum chassis might strike some potential buyers as on the generic side as far as gaming laptops go; however, its up-to-date internal specs might yet be enough to turn some heads.

The new PC packs a vapor chamber as well as dual fans for thermal management, which can be adjusted in a number of ways throughout the EVOL X16 PRO's system, pressing Fn+1 on its RGB-backlit keyboard included.

The EVOL X16 PRO also offers a choice between 165Hz and QHD 240Hz displays. It has DDR5 RAM that can go from 16 to 64GB, albeit with just 1 512GB NVME SSD option. Then again, Colorful leaves the X16 PRO's second M.2 2280 slot empty for further expansion at the user's discretion.

Colorful has yet to announce EVOL X16 PRO pricing or availability, although its initial "mainstream" Core i7-13700H/GeForce RTX 4060 configuration might limit sticker-shock on its release. Then again, for those prepared to make more (or less) of a long-term investment, alternative SKUs that either step up to i9-13900H/RTX 4070 combo, or scale down to a 4050, will follow.

In the meantime, check out the ASUS ROG Strix G16 (2023) on Amazon
