A6700 owners will need to go out and buy not only an extra battery, but a whole other charger, if they want to charge their camera and use it at the same time.

A steady stream of reports about loose Canon EOS R5 and R6 hot shoe mounts has hit the internet over the last two years, and it appears to be stirring up a bit of a fuss among the photography community. More concerning than loose and detaching hardware is that Canon isn't offering any service or recall support outside of warranty repair, leaving many owners to DIY a solution.

Ford has announced plans to cut upwards of 1,000 jobs in the US in the coming months, citing, among other reasons, high costs of pivoting its production to electric vehicles and the lack of profitability in the electric vehicle market as reasons for the lay-offs. The lay-offs are expected to affect both salaried and contract engineers in its internal-combustion-engine division and software developers in its EV business. Although Sonos sued Google over six patent infringements, the US$32.5 million penalty comes as the result of a single infringement. The judge has ruled that the other five patents were not infringed.
