Comprehensive list of all laptops featuring the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop GPU along with corresponding TGPs

One list to find them all. (Update 02/05: more laptops, TGP, Dynamic Boost and Boostclocks added) Laptops featuring the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop GPU are now starting to become available, but the lack of prominent TGP information means that buyers will not be able to get a fair estimate of the laptop's graphics prowess by merely looking at the spec sheet. In this article, we aim to provide a comprehensive list of laptops that feature the RTX 3060 Laptop GPU along with their rated TGP values. This information will be updated continuously as newer models become available.

At CES 2021, NVIDIA officially announced the Ampere laptop GPU lineup. Many OEMs featured these laptop GPUs, which include the RTX 3060 Laptop GPU, RTX 3070 Laptop GPU, and the RTX 3080 Laptop GPU. One common trend we observed during CES 2021 was that the total graphics power (TGP), which directly influences the clocks at which the GPU operates, was not explicitly mentioned in the specifications and neither was which third generation Max-Q features were being implemented. 

We later came to know that the Max-Q branding would be dropped and OEMs are free to decide on the GPU's TGP configuration and the ensuing Max-Q features. This has the potential to create a lot of confusion to the end user as one would have to specifically probe the driver or watch out for detailed independent reviews such as ours in order to make an informed decision.

While we will be detailing all necessary specifications in the corresponding reviews, it helps to have a consolidated list of laptops featuring RTX Ampere Laptop GPUs along with their TGP values. The following table serves as a ready reckoner for such information.

In the following table, we list all known notebooks featuring the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop GPU. The new RTX 3060 is based on the GA106 Ampere chip and can be configured with TGPs ranging from 60 W to 115 W. All variants offer 3,072 CUDA cores and up to 6 GB of GDDR6 graphics memory with a 256-bit memory bus. The boost clock rates typically range from 1,283 MHz to 1,703 MHz depending on the TGP variant (check out our RTX 3060 Laptop GPU page for more information and up to date benchmarks).

In the below table, we have compiled a list of RTX 3060 Laptop GPU-powered SKUs from various manufacturers and have also listed known values for max. TGP, extent of Dynamic Boost 2.0, and known boost clocks. We see that the max TGP can range from as low as 65 W all the way up to 130 W for the RTX 3060 Laptop GPU. Note that the max. TGP value is the sum of base TGP, cTGP, and Dynamic Boost 2.0.

Disclaimer: As detailed in this article, the indicated boost clocks may not be always accurate. In the table below, we have indicated boost clock values obtained directly from OEMs. The boost clocks can potentially vary when Dynamic Boost 2.0 comes into play depending on the workload.
