Reviews for the Asus Zenbook Pro 16X UX7602ZM-ME008X

The Asus Zenbook Pro 16X OLED is an impressive piece of engineering, the display is exquisite and it’s powerful enough to handle whatever you throw at it. Yet it’s certainly not for everyone. To justify the expense, you’d need to be making the most of its impressive display and hefty grunt while out on the road. Unless you’re regularly working with demanding high-end content creation applications, you’d be better off looking for a portable productivity tool that costs less, weighs less and offers a longer battery life so you don’t need to lug around the power brick. If this notebook would stay chained to your desk, then you’d get more bang for your buck from a desktop PC. But if you can’t afford to compromise on grunt and multimedia performance when you’re on the go, the Asus Zenbook Pro 16X OLED might deserve a place in your travel bag.

The Asus Zenbook Pro 16X is an excellent content creator's laptop — packing an elegant, sturdy, unique design that is eye-catching and hyper-functional. With the addition of the Asus dial helping users move through Adobe’s apps, it’s a win for those who work within the creative suite. I’m a massive fan of this Zenbook Pro 16X OLED with its gorgeous 16-inch display. However, at $2,469, the ZenBook Pro 16X is a bit hard to recommend over the MacBook Pro 16-inch M2 Pro. While you lose the 4K display and some of the unique features like the dial and the magically appearing number pad, the raw performance and endless battery life of the MacBook Pro 16 are certainly going to sway any creatives that need to work away from an outlet for more than a few hours at a time. However, if you’re a Windows fan and that big beautiful 4k display and the feature-rich hardware are drawing you in, the Asus Zenbook Pro 16X OLED is an outstanding option; just maybe try to find it on sale.

The Asus Zenbook Pro 16X OLED is an elegant machine well suited for creative work. It costs a boatload though, and much of that comes from a design that poses vulnerability concerns that simpler models would steer clear of.

The Asus ZenBook Pro 16X is a well-designed, well-crafted laptop that meets and exceeds its creator-oriented objectives. It’s surprisingly fast given its components and can be configured to be even faster, its display is spectacular, and its keyboard and touchpad are excellent. It has the useful Asus Dial feature that adds some convenience. All in all, Asus created a standout laptop. Yes, it’s expensive, but not unexpectedly given the design and components. It’s competitive with other laptops aimed at the same users and, in some cases, is less expensive. If you’re in the market for a portable creative workstation, then the ZenBook Pro 16X should be on your short list.

And so we’ve reached the conclusion of this review. This laptop is priced at RM11,999 which I think is expensive and the comfort level of this forcefully tilted keyboard and that ASUS Dial is going to be up to your personal preference. There is one last thing I want to highlight – and that is the weight. Combined with the massive 200W power brick, the entire set weighs at least 2.5kg.

The ASUS Zenbook Pro 16X OLED is a great laptop for content creators and visual experts. At RM11,999 it’s certainly pricey, and the crowd that can make full use of it is a niche one, so you have to make sure this is something you truly want. Personally, I would rather go for a Zenbook Duo for its dual-screen setup but it depends on which one benefits you more; the ASUS Dial or the ASUS ScreenPad.

15-inch display variants are the standard and are used for more than half of all laptops.
The reason for the popularity of mid-sized displays is that this size is reasonably easy on the eyes, often allows high resolutions and thus offers rich details on the screen, yet does not consume too much power and the devices can still be reasonably compact - simply the standard compromise.
