The Asus ROG Zephyrus G15 is a capable all-arounder 15-inch portable laptop. It performs brilliantly in heavy loads and combines powerful hardware with a compact design and a punchy, responsive screen, making it an excellent choice for everyday use, gaming, and even colour-accurate work. The company has launched two variants in India with AMD Ryzen 7 5800HS processor and the Ryzen 9 5900HS processor. We will review the latter. While the ROG Zephyrus G15 is more suitable as a gaming laptop, it is still relatively compact and manages to pack an eight-core CPU along with RTX 3060 GPU within its chassis. The ROG Zephyrus G15 effectively combines everything that’s nice about the ROG Zephyrus G14 and improves it. The end result is a sleek laptop designed to give excellent performance. The ROG Zephyrus G15 is a gaming laptop that also caters to content creators, as those who follow the tech industry know. Now it’s time to get into the gritty details of what makes the Asus ROG Zephyrus G15 such a powerful laptop.

I think I made my thoughts about this laptop clear with the first few lines of this review. But, if you have reached here, let me highlight once again that the Zephyrus G15 is one of the best gaming laptops you can buy right now and that too, without breaking a bank. Yes, Rs 1,46,990 is not an amount everyone can spend but, it’s also what people end up paying for a capable gaming machine. The Ryzen 9 5900HS and the RTX 3060 GPU ensure that you get a seamless performance, the display is a delight and you managed to squeeze impressive amount of battery life. The only disappointments are the lack of a webcam and average audio quality. If that’s not an issue for you, then the ROG Zephyrus G15 should be the gaming laptop to spend this year.

ASUS has a ton of gaming laptops to its name but every year, only a couple of them manage to shine through and land under the spotlight. After using the ROG Zephyrus G15 extensively for about 2-3 weeks now, I think ASUS has packed in pretty much everything I want from a solid gaming laptop in 2021. It's relatively lightweight, looks fantastic without any obnoxious RGB lighting, and it packs some impressive hardware inside that can keep you glued to it for long gaming sessions without breaking a sweat.

The Zephyrus G15 is not a loud or flamboyant RGB-lit gaming laptop that you can show off, yet the subtle design makes you look at it twice. It can blend into your office meetings, and at the same time, it has the raw power to deliver an excellent gaming experience. If I had to nitpick, the lack of a built-in webcam and probably the display’s peak brightness would be the only faults I could point out on this laptop. Is this a recommended purchase? Definitely. It is perfect for gamers as well as creative professionals to some extent. The powerful chipsets on the inside, a sleek and minimalistic design, and excellent battery life make the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G15 one of the best gaming laptops to buy today. The laptop is available at a starting price of about $1850 in the US for the base variant that includes the RTX 3070 GPU and the option of going further with an RTX 3080.
