NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Ti vs NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 Ti is a mid-range desktop graphics card utilizing the GB206 chip based on the Blackwell architecture. The 5060 Ti offers 4,608 CUDA cores and 16 GB GDDR7 graphics memory with a 128-bit memory bus. Notoriously, the model has more VRAM compared to the higher-end RTX 5070, although with a lesser bus width of 128 bits. The launch price for the 16 GB variant was 429 USD. There is also a cheaper 8 GB variant.

Performance

Thanks to the bump in dedicated RT/CUDA cores and new architecture, the card is expected to offer better performance compared to the previous RTX 4060 Ti. The RTX 5060 Ti is expected to be among the faster graphics cards in 2025 and, presumably will deliver good performance at elevated resolution.

The RTX 5060 Ti is ~7% faster than the previous RTX 4060 Ti in benchmarks; however, in professional applications, its performance can be 3% to 21% higher. As for gaming performance, the new model is almost 11% faster than the previous RTX 4060 Ti. With that said, higher-end GeForce RTX 5070 can deliver 11% more FPS, while RTX 5070 Ti is 22% faster in games.  

Power consumption

The GB206 chip is manufactured in the modern 4N FinFET process at TSMC (5nm) and specified with a TGP (Total Graphics Power) of 180 Watts (20 W higher than RTX 4060 Ti).
