Especially noticeable is its generous allocation of 16 GB GDDR7 VRAM, which offers distinct advantages in memory-intensive gaming scenarios as well as professional creative applications. At Full HD and WQHD resolutions, the graphics card consistently delivers smooth and enjoyable gameplay experiences, especially when DLSS 4 and multi-frame generation features are activated. At 4K resolution, however, the RTX 5060 Ti quickly encounters performance limitations, lacking the necessary raw computational power to sustain consistently high frame rates in demanding titles.
The cooling design employed by the TUF variant is particularly impressive: its Axial-Tech fans operate both efficiently and quietly. Subtle RGB lighting contributes to the card’s aesthetic appeal without becoming overly intrusive. Three Axial-Tech fans with durable double ball bearings guarantee effective and quiet cooling, even during prolonged gaming sessions or intense graphical workloads. With an approximate length of 30 cm and a thickness of 3.1 slots, the graphics card is not among the most compact available but fits comfortably within most midi and full-tower cases. As is standard with the TUF product line, the build quality is impressively high and specifically targets users who prioritize reliability alongside raw performance.
In addition to the graphics card itself, the delivery package contains a GPU support bracket and a 12 V 2x6 power adapter. As the test system for this review, we use the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D on an Asrock X870E Taichi motherboard. No changes were made to the maximum power consumption of the graphics card or the clock rates of the Asus TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 5060 Ti OC.
Synthetic benchmarks
In synthetic benchmarks, the Asus TUF Gaming RTX 5060 Ti OC places itself between the RTX 4060 EVO OC and the RTX 4070 EX Gamer. The performance difference compared to the RTX 4060 is approximately 13 percent, with the expanded VRAM providing tangible benefits in several gaming scenarios. While the card cannot keep pace with AMD’s RX 9000 series GPUs in raw performance, those AMD models are typically priced at a higher tier. Gaming performance - In the shadow of an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070
The Asus TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 5060 Ti OC provides sufficient power to ensure smooth gameplay across a wide variety of modern titles. While certain games may still require lowering resolution or graphical detail settings, the GPU proves especially capable in Full HD and WQHD environments. Its 16 GB of VRAM offers enough headroom for handling memory-heavy textures and effects. Although an 8 GB version is expected to be released, we do not recommend this lower-spec variant: even at 1080p resolution, games can easily exceed 8 GB of VRAM usage, and features like DLSS significantly increase video memory demand.
The GeForce RTX 5060 Ti can only handle 4K gaming to a limited extent. Without assistance from features such as DLSS or Frame Generation, the GPU struggles to maintain fluid frame rates at this resolution. When those technologies are enabled, however, the card can deliver a considerably more stable and enjoyable experience at higher resolutions.

At idle, the Asus TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 5060 Ti OC operates almost silently, courtesy of its semi-passive cooling technology. When under load, the three Axial-Tech fans spin up quietly and evenly, never producing distracting noise levels. Even during stress testing, the overall acoustic output remains moderate. A faint coil whine was noticed in the open test setup, but this is not expected to be audible in closed-case scenarios. When load is removed, the fans spin down again within a short time, quickly returning to silent operation.

Temperature
The cooling solution integrated into the Asus TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 5060 Ti OC performs reliably and efficiently. Three Axial-Tech fans combined with a substantial heatsink and traditional heatpipe design ensure that both GPU and VRAM temperatures stay well within optimal ranges—even in the absence of a vapor chamber. Asus also implements MaxContact technology, which enhances thermal transfer by improving the interface between the GPU die and the heatsink surface. In our tests, the GPU reached a maximum temperature of roughly 62 degrees Celsius under load, while the VRAM stayed at a cool 54 degrees—figures that are completely unproblematic.

Power management - Powerful and yet economical
Power consumption remains moderate overall. The graphics card alone is rated for a TDP of just 180 watts. In our full system setup, total power draw peaked at approximately 290 watts during gaming scenarios. Compared to the KFA2 GeForce RTX 4070 EX Gamer, our RTX 5060 Ti test configuration proved significantly more efficient in terms of power usage. Regarding efficiency, the GPU sits just behind the KFA2 GeForce RTX 5070 Ti 1-Click OC. Power is delivered via the latest 12 V 2x6 connector. For those with older power supplies, Asus includes an adapter converting two standard 8-pin PCIe connectors to the new format—allowing backward compatibility without issue. Asus recommends a 550 watt power supply to ensure smooth and stable operation under all conditions.

The Asus TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 5060 Ti OC is a dependable mid-range GPU that features a capable and well-executed cooling system, quiet day-to-day operation, and an ample 16 GB of GDDR7 VRAM—making it well-suited for demanding workloads and gaming in Full HD and WQHD resolutions. With support for the latest technologies from the Blackwell architecture such as DLSS 4 and multi-frame generation, it offers access to modern rendering enhancements, even though traditional raster performance sees only limited improvement over the previous generation. Ultimately, it will be the head-to-head comparison with AMD’s Radeon RX 9060 XT that determines just how competitive the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti truly is in the current GPU market.
