Success Model 2.0. Samsung has relaunched its mid-range top model: The Galaxy A72 is even better than the already strong predecessor and has, among other things, the larger battery and better cameras. As the review shows, the Galaxy A72 should also be the standard against which all mid-range rivals have to measure themselves this year.

SoC from 2019. Those who can live without 5G will be able to get the Samsung Galaxy A52 for about 70 Euros (~$85) less, depending on the configuration. While there is still an older SoC, the option to choose between two storage configurations continues to be available. Our test evaluates the capabilities of the more powerful of the two.

More premium. The Galaxy A52 5G is an updated version of one of the most successful Samsung smartphones. It comes with a price hike, which puts it above the 400-Euro (~$480) mark for the first time. Read our review to learn why it is still worth every cent.

Affordable entry. The current entry-level model from Samsung's Galaxy A series is the A02s. For barely 165 Euros (~$197), the manufacturer includes a triple camera system and a quite large battery. However, there are a lot of competitors, including other inhouse models, and there are also some really basic problems.

5G thanks to trade-offs. The Galaxy A32 5G offers a large 6.5-inch display, a big battery, a modern MediaTek SoC, and a quad-camera setup. However, it can't always outperform its predecessor, and it offers a narrower set of features than some of its rivals.

Stagnant galaxy. Samsung's entry-level Galaxy A12 smartphone combines a powerful 5,000 mAh battery, a large display, and a quad-camera setup with MediaTek's Helio P35 SoC. Into the 5G era with low resolution. One of the Koreans' most popular mid-range models is now also being equipped with the fastest mobile network standard to date. In addition, there's more storage, a bigger battery, and a macro camera compared to the predecessor. However, we'll also have to cover the steps taken backwards by the device in this review...

Long-distance runner. Not only does the Samsung Galaxy A31 offer a large super AMOLED display, but the battery is also quite large at 5,000 mAh. The exact opposite of this is the price, since it's quite low at about 200 Euros (~$239). Our review will show the performance that can be expected in the end.

Very cheap but also good? The 140-Euro (~$167) cheap Galaxy A20s offers a large display for lots of fun - at least that's how Samsung advertises its entry-level phone. High level of energy consumption, low level of performance. The Samsung Galaxy A21s is a low-priced midrange device. Nevertheless, it still offers a flexible camera system and a notchless display. Other smartphones in this price range offer more memory and a higher level of performance. Can Samsung’s smartphone impress in our review in spite of this?

A matter of honor. With its Galaxy A series, Samsung has made a name for itself by offering affordable but well-equipped smartphones. Correspondingly, the expectations on its newest product of the series, the Galaxy A41 mid-range smartphone, are high. With its 6.1-inch Super AMOLED display, an octa-core SoC, and a 48-MP triple camera, the smartphone brings some good prerequisites.

A big presence. A 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display, an octa-core Snapdragon 730 SoC and quad rear-facing cameras with a 64 MP main shooter all make the Galaxy A71 sound good on paper. Samsung's new mid-range smartphone packs plenty of other features into its large case too, but our tests will show whether it is enough to trouble the established order.

An exemplary mid-range phone. The Samsung Galaxy A51 is the successor of one of the most successful smartphones of 2019. Super-fast internet for everyone? The Samsung Galaxy A90 5G's vision is making 5G-enabled smartphones cheaper. At an MSRP of 749 Euros (~$831), it is far from a budget smartphone, however. In our review, we determine whether or not the price is justified.

A colourful entry-level smartphone. The Samsung Galaxy A30s is comparatively affordable but features a design that should distinguish it from many of its contemporaries. While the Galaxy A30s looks the part, our tests will reveal whether it can keep up with the competition.

60 FPS gaming at an affordable price. Unsurprisingly, Samsung has made some compromises for the cheapest model in its Galaxy A series. A good deal. Spending a lot of money for a smartphone? It doesn't have to be like that, Samsung says, presenting its affordable entry-level Galaxy A20e for 179 Euros (~$199). It is able to score with astonishingly comprehensive equipment, offering an octa-core SoC, a dual camera, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, dual SIM, and VoLTE, among other things.

Camera magic. 650 Euros (~$730) is a lot of money. With the Galaxy A80, Samsung delivers a high-end smartphone with a rotating camera and a front without a notch for this amount. Let's see whether the A80 offers sufficient value for the high price.

Full-blown attack. 32 MP triple-camera, 128 GB of internal storage, a 4,500 mAh battery, and a 6.7-inch display - Samsung is about to redefine the mid-range smartphone with its latest Galaxy A70 that can almost be mistaken for a high-end candidate. Triple photo fun? Triple rear-facing cameras and a bright AMOLED screen on a midrange smartphone? That may sound like an intoxicating mix, but can the Samsung Galaxy A50 match expectations? Read on in this detailed review to find out.

Connect four? The Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018)'s unique selling point is certainly its back camera with a grand total of four lenses. Nevertheless, the mid-range smartphone surprised us in other disciplines in our tests, keeping pace with other Samsung S series phones.

All good things come in threes. According to our tests, the highlight of the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) is not its triple camera. It is another hardware element that beats every other mid-range smartphone.

Super AMOLED FHD+. Samsung's Galaxy A series is designed with a certain kind of customer in mind: those who want a smartphone with a simple look and high manufacturing quality. We thoroughly tested the 6-inch Galaxy A6+ and report in this review what buyers can expect. The smartphone is priced at around 370 Euros (~$425; international version ~$350).

Night and Day. With the Galaxy A6 (2018), Samsung brings a chic-looking, mid-range smartphone to the market, which scores major points with its 5.6-inch Super AMOLED display and two 16 MP cameras. In our review, the Android smartphone proves to be very capable, but it has a few weaknesses.

8 follows 5. The Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018) succeeds the Galaxy A5 (2017) as the latest device in the popular Galaxy A Series. The €499 (~$615) price tag could prove to be unpopular though. We will find out in our tests whether Samsung can justify this ambitious price.

Striking Update. Samsung's latest reincarnation of its hip mid-range Galaxy A3 smartphone not only features an updated glass and metal unibody design but also significant improvements under the hood, for example increased processing power and improved camera performance. Will this be enough to show its competitors who's the boss?

Water-resistant. The Galaxy A5 series now enters the third round and has to keep its ground when fighting in the strong mid-range. More power, bigger storage, and water and dust protection are to help here. The test will show whether this will suffice.

Feels good. The special feature of the former model was its aluminum unibody casing. Samsung now uses more glass in the new iteration. The screen of the mid-range smartphone has also been modified: It has a higher resolution while providing more space at the same time. An overall successful design?

Upgraded mid-range. Just one year after the first Galaxy A5 generation, Samsung introduces the successor. Updates are found in screen, wireless module as well as the SoC. However, the performance still proves to be a minor shortcoming.

3, 5, 7. Samsung's Galaxy A lineup is tailored more for the normal wallet than the wickedly expensive Galaxy S models. Now a small phablet is available in the series called Galaxy A7. We took a closer look at the classy smartphone.

A small metal gadget. Samsung uses a slim metal casing for its Galaxy A lineup and had really impressed us with the Galaxy A5, even though the voice quality was not that good. In this report we will see why the Galaxy A3 is good, but not a bargain.

Who knew? Samsung stuck to polycarbonate, removable batteries and a slightly fancy design for years... and then it launches the Galaxy A lineup and takes a U-turn. We will see whether there are more surprises by examining the 5-inch Galaxy A5 model.

Alpha leader. Samsung only used plastic even for its premium line in the past. This is now different, and it launches its Galaxy Alpha smartphone with an aluminum bezel. The phone places a claim on the smartphone crown with its strong components, but that still belongs to its company brother - Galaxy S5.

Now even cheaper. The price of the Samsung Galaxy Ace 4 is below 200 Euros (~$250), which is 70 Euros (~$88) cheaper than its predecessor. You still get LTE and even some improvements like a larger display. But is the Ace 4 only cheaper, or is it also better?

Hot smartphone. Samsung is offering the Galaxy Ace 3 GT-S7275R for less than 260 Euros (~$352) but this is no cheap piece. In fact, we are surprised by the high quality of the 4-inch smartphone which even offers an LTE module.
