A leaner Omen without the fluff. The Pavilion series isn't exactly home to HP's best laptops and yet the Pavilion Gaming 17 is one of the better gaming laptops we've seen from the manufacturer thus far. The system is surprisingly quiet and even sleek considering its price range.

Well balanced. Thanks to its Core i5-9300H CPU and GeForce GTX 1650 GPU the Omen 15 is capable of running all current games smoothly on its matte 15.6-inch FHD IPS display, and as a bonus it comes with an NVMe SSD and a decent battery life. If only the display was not so dim.

The better RTX 2060! Nvidia launched an improved generation of its RTX GPUs shortly before AMD released its Navi-based graphics cards. We have taken a closer look at the Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 Super Founders Edition. The decision to put 8 GB of VRAM into the RTX 2060S was definitely the right one, this much we can say for sure. Mi 9 the third. After the Mi 9 and Mi 9 SE comes the Mi 9T, a device that takes the Mi 9 series in a different direction. A tale of two screens. Asus' second stab at a touchscreen-touchpad hybrid is head and shoulders above the first generation ScreenPad on last year's ZenBook Pro 15 UX580 in terms of usability and display quality. A few hurdles remain including the impact on battery life, grainy matte overlay, and poor viewing angles.

Jack of all trades. The MSI PS63 Modern 8SC is aimed at content creators and multimedia users, who are looking for a sleek, lightweight, and compact notebook with a lot of performance and a long-lasting battery. In this review, we are trying to determine whether this 15-inch system is able to deliver on all of these promises.

Camera magic. 650 Euros (~$730) is a lot of money. With the Galaxy A80, Samsung delivers a high-end smartphone with a rotating camera and a front without a notch for this amount. Let's see whether the A80 offers sufficient value for the high price.

Flashy. Asus' latest upper mid-range gaming laptop is big on performance and visual flare, but it misses the mark when it comes to serviceability. The unique LED lights shouldn't come at the expense of features that users would have otherwise had.

Unassuming gamer. The hardware of the Schenker XMG Core 17 brings all the current games smoothly to the matte 17.3-inch screen (144 Hz, FHD, IPS). This notebook can be configured very individually. For example, it offers space for up to three storage units (2x M.2-2280, 1x 2.5 in) and can handle up to 64 GB of working memory. In addition, the BIOS allows undervolting of the CPU and iGPU. While the notebook does not show any huge weaknesses, we could complain about the lack of a Thunderbolt-3 port.

$1200 for a GeForce GTX 1650. While the GTX 1650 is an excellent upgrade over the GTX 1050 or GTX 1050 Ti, we can't say the same about the Core i7-9750H over the Core i7-8750H. Be prepared to spend $1200 for a budget gaming laptop with the performance level of an older GTX 1060.

Affordable and made for simple needs. After two years Amazon has given its Fire 7 a small hardware update. Not only the SoC has been improved; the manufacturer has also jazzed up the front camera. A notch too far. The LG G8S ThinQ has arrived late to the party, but it still brings a flagship SoC, a large OLED display, a ToF camera and a 3,550 mAh battery. The G8S ThinQ may have fancy camera tech, but it is otherwise a fairly run-of-the-mill flagship. Still not grown up. The iPod was an important milestone on Apple's road to success with iTunes, but now all but the iPod Touch have been removed from sale. The anachronism is now in its 7th generation, but it can play more than just music.

Well-rounded package Lenovo currently has two variants of the ThinkPad E590 in its product range; both use Intel CPUs, but one has a dedicated AMD graphics card, while the other comes with integrated Intel UHD graphics. With the E595, Lenovo has now completely opted for AMD for the CPU and GPU. In addition, the manufacturer has improved on some points of criticism. Will the E595 become the best ThinkPad E?

Forsaken by the screen. The Lenovo ThinkPad T590 is a larger version of the popular ThinkPad T490. The bigger chassis offers some advantages and the ThinkPad T590 is the lightest 15.6-inch ThinkPad of the T series so far. Unfortunately, it is worse than its smaller sister model in one key aspect.

Middle-of-the-road. The 2019 model Lenovo Flex 14 offers a decent amount of performance considering its USD $800 price tag. While it fails to stand out in any meaningful way, it is still an overall good bang-for-the-buck convertible.

An understated multimedia laptop. The Lenovo IdeaPad S540 promises to be a compact 14-inch multimedia laptop. The device should have good battery life too, although there are some noticeable differences between the AMD and Intel models. We have both in for review to see which variant should be more worthy of your consideration. Surprisingly good. The Pixel 3a ties in with the virtues of the Google Nexus devices of the past: It is compact, offers good performance and it is affordable. But there is one important difference between the Google Pixel 3a and the old Nexus smartphones. Find out what it is in our review.

What could go wrong? It's got the looks of a $1000 Ultrabook but with the performance of a $100 netbook. There's a good reason why you don't see many Intel Atom laptops with 4K UHD displays in the market; they are an imbalanced pairing.

Runs and runs and runs...smoothly. The free-to-play MOBA, which saw the light of day almost 10 years ago and broke the 100-million-player mark in 2016, still remains very low-maintenance in 2019. Smoothly playable across the graphics card landscape of recent years, League of Legends also delights gamers with older hardware. However, one can't expect much in terms of graphics quality in such games.

An Intel Core i5 alternative. As it turns out, mid-range Nvidia GPUs pair very well with AMD's latest Ryzen H-series of CPUs. Asus is doubling down on even more Intel-less gaming laptops that gamers on tight budgets ought to consider.

Also available with 5G. ZTE pitches the Axon 10 Pro against modern flagships like the P30 Pro, especially in regard to design. The Chinese manufacturer has included an in-screen fingerprint scanner and 48 MP dual rear-facing cameras, but it has scrimped on many of the other flashy features adorning high-end handsets. A Clevo that's difficult to service. The mid-size Nightsky RX17 offers high-end gaming performance as one would expect from a Eurocom product. Unfortunately, it drops the one feature that makes other Eurocom gaming laptops so appealing to enthusiasts and tinkerers.

Courageous update? HTC, one of the pioneers of the smartphone era, seems to be falling into oblivion more and more with each passing year. At least the Taiwanese manufacturer has now updated its mid-range line-up and introduced the HTC Desire 12s, a smartphone for around $200. Is it enough to rekindle our interest?

Slimmer, lighter, sleeker. The quest for the sleekest and most portable laptop continues unabated with Lenovo’s IdeaPad S940, easily one of the most attractive machines we’ve seen to date. With a dazzling 4K HDR display, Dolby Atmos audio, a Core i7 CPU, and a tiny footprint, is this $2,000 work of art the one to beat?

A convertible with an AMD APU! The HP Envy x360 uses an AMD processor and at the same time has to struggle with the known prejudices against bad displays. However, we can quickly discard this argument, since not only does the 13.3-inch display offer an excellent brightness at 675 cd/m², but it also offers 120 Hz. Slender gamer. The sleek MSI GS75 Stealth 9SG handles all modern triple-A games with ease thanks to its Core i7-9750H processor and GeForce RTX 2080 Max-Q GPU. The 17.3-inch device has good battery life too, lasting longer between charges than even some office laptops.

Mid-range phone with a lot of features. The Blade V10 replaces the Blade V9. ZTE has decided to build on the predecessor's strengths and is offering a lot of features for an affordable price. Big plans. The Nokia 3.2 brings a large IPS display, a modern design and Google Assistant integration to the party to outdo other budget smartphones. Daily workhorse for travelers. For a 13.3-inch business convertible, it nails all the right wireless connectivity features including optional Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5, and LTE-A. However, it's still a tad on the heavy side when compared to other convertible subnotebooks in its size class.

17-inchers are "in" again! With the WS75, MSI presents a very thin workstation with a 17-inch screen. Start-up laptop. The Vostro name has been the moniker of Dell's series of budget laptops for years. The company has given the old workhorse a hardware upgrade and ironed out some of the kinks, but some questionable decisions remain.

Little stamina. The IdeaPad 330s-15ARR scores well with its Ryzen 5-2500U APU, fast NVMe SSD, and dual-channel RAM. Its dim and poor battery life inhibit what is a good laptop though.

Designed for power. The brand-new GT76 Titan DT from MSI should be especially attractive to passionate gamers who can live with a heavy and huge chassis. Thanks to the Core i9-9900K and the GeForce RTX 2080, the 17-inch notebook offers plenty of power for modern games.

Not even close, definitely no cigar. Dell has introduced its newest incarnation of their office and business series 3000 to the market, and adds some new issues to the already well-known weak points of this range. Not only is the screen an issue with this latest version, which we would be unhappy with in a 400-Euro (~$456) budget laptop, but also other issues on the technical side. Aside from this, it has very good battery life. UPDATE 08.07.2019: The new BIOS version 1.9.8 changes thermal and fan levels with positive results.

Better without NVIDIA? We are already well acquainted with the ThinkPad T490, having reviewed the model with an NVIDIA GPU only last month. Notebook for 1080p gamers. The MSI GP75 Leopard promises to deliver a good gaming performance at a budget price. A cheap gaming smartphone with a few tricks up its sleeve. Vivo is back, and this time it has brought an affordable gaming smartphone to market. The IQOO has vapour chamber cooling, touch-sensitive shoulder buttons and an engrossing 6.41-inch AMOLED display. Master of throttling. Dell's entry-level Inspiron series is also available with AMD processors. Unfortunately, the Ryzen 3 2300U's CPU was badly restricted and unable to unleash its full potential, and Dell's cooling solution was running almost at its limit. Nevertheless, even a severely limited Ryzen can have its upsides, as our test shows.

Now with blue heat pipes. The latest mid-range gaming laptop from Dell incorporates features from both the entry-level G3 series and the higher-end Alienware series. Even so, the system is relatively heavy and even heavier than the 17.3-inch Alienware m17 by several hundred grams.

Small bezels and a lot of display. The pop-up camera has arrived in the mid-range. The P Smart Z from Huawei combines premium features such as the pop-up camera with a price in the mid-range segment. However, the implementation of the Huawei smartphones is not always successful and still leaves room for improvements.

An all-round gamer. The Gigabyte Aorus 15-SA handles all modern triple-A games with ease thanks to its Core i7-9750H processor, GeForce GTX 1660 Ti GPU and 16 GB RAM. Gigabyte complements this with a 512 GB NVMe SSD and a 15.6-inch 144 Hz IPS panel. However, the latter has low maximum brightness, while the 15-SA suffers from poor battery life and lacks ports like Thunderbolt 3.

Slowed down. HP’s 14-inch notebook features very good hardware: Ryzen 7 3700U, 8 GB of RAM (running in dual-channel mode), SSD+HDD, and a matte IPS screen. Moreover, the laptop also offers passable battery runtimes and operates very quietly or even completely silently.

MacBook, made in China. Chuwi's latest laptop is the product of a successful IndieGoGo campaign. While the package is wrapped in a nice shell, the AeroBook ultimately falls short of other compact notebooks. This is largely in part to its outdated 6th-generation Core m3 CPU.

Fake leather – real qualities. Buyers have always had to shell out slightly more than 100 Euros (~$113) for the Huawei Y5, and they should know that they cannot expect a performance miracle for this. This year, they will get a display with a notch, an optional faux-leather finish, and improved cameras. Find out in our review, why the improvement really make this a better device.

Full-blown attack. 32 MP triple-camera, 128 GB of internal storage, a 4,500 mAh battery, and a 6.7-inch display - Samsung is about to redefine the mid-range smartphone with its latest Galaxy A70 that can almost be mistaken for a high-end candidate. OLED comeback. OLED is amazing, but it's not the holy grail of display technologies. A few key disadvantages outside of the pricier MSRP mean there are still good reasons to choose IPS depending on your usage scenario.

Knight in radiant armor with a few flaws. The Oppo R17 Pro tries to combine suave aesthetics with flagship-grade performance. Solid companion. In its current incarnation, the IdeaPad S340 presents itself with an attractive design and good hardware equipment. The optional dedicated MX graphics unit is a nice equipment feature that offers a bit more graphics performance. A quick-change artist in pinstripes. For the first time since 2015 Lenovo has developed a new case for its business-oriented ThinkPad Yoga convertible. The Lenovo ThinkPad X390 Yoga is slimmer than its predecessor and offers improved CPU performance. However, the convertible lacks several features available in the normal ThinkPad X390. Multifunctional. Lenovo's Yoga 530-14ARR offers a Ryzen 7 APU, dual-channel RAM, and an NVMe SSD. In addition to finger-touch input the IPS touchscreen also supports Lenovo's Active Pen.

Unable to excel. Acer's 14-incher offers a matte Full HD display, a Pentium Silver N5000 processor and silent operation. Battery life is average at best. A device like the Aspire should offer more in this regard.

Heat Sink and LED all-in-one. The Asura SSD is a high-performance storage drive designed for desktop PC builders looking for more visual flare out of their machines. It's also one of the first NVMe SSDs to incorporate a casing that doubles as LED lighting and a heat sink.

Now with a super-wide clickpad. MSI has refreshed its eye-catching GS65 with faster graphics, faster processors, faster refresh rate, and an enlarged touchpad for more comfortable use. At $3000, however, we wouldn't expect anything less.

Mobile Router - The Nighthawk M1 is a little more expensive and larger than other mobile hotspots, but it offers a lot for the money. The device is simple to set-up, has fast LTE connectivity, numerous ports and can connect to up to 20 devices. Read on to find out how the Nighthawk M1 performs in our tests.

An austere Chromebook with great battery life The HP Chromebook 14 G5 runs silently and has excellent battery life. The device has Google Play Store integration too, but how does it shape up against other Chromebooks? Read on to find out in this short review.

Simple name, enthusiast performer. The Model Z integrates almost everything you'd want from a thin gaming laptop including the latest Intel 9th gen CPU, GeFoce RTX GPU, 144 Hz narrow bezel display, easy serviceability, and even a per-key RGB mechanical keyboard all for under $2000 USD. Just don't expect long battery life or very quiet fans.

AI and triple-camera setup. Wiko is trying to significantly lower the price limit for smartphones with a triple-camera setup. At the same time, it is relying on many AI functions, a large amount of storage and an attractive design. Are the i9 and Vega 20 good upgrades? Besides the regular Radeon Pro chips, Apple also offers its MacBook Pro 15 with the professional AMD Pro Vega graphics adapters. We review the top model with the Intel Core i9 and the Radeon Vega 20 Pro.

RGB inspiration. ASUS is focusing on more than just RGB lighting with the third incarnation of its ROG Strix Scar. The company has also included a nice security feature called Keystone along with a host of powerful hardware. The G531GW offers plenty on paper, but can it meet expectations?

For creatives who need performance. The MSI P65 Creator is directed at content creators who need a notebook with a lot of hardware power. But gamers will be equally pleased with this device thanks to the included RTX graphics card - particularly since it comes in a simpler design than most gaming devices. Hot contender. Dell’s premium business models have never been more XPS-like, but with the sweeping changes come significant challenges. With its Core i7-8665U CPU, 16 GB RAM, and NVMe SSD, the $2,800 Latitude 7400 2-in-1 certainly isn’t slow, but can it take the heat? Let’s find out. A co-production from AMD and Nvidia. The hardware spec, comprised of a Ryzen 5 3550H APU and GeForce GTX 1650 GPU, is able to fluidly play all modern and current games on its 17.3-inch, full HD IPS display. The laptop has comparatively low energy consumption and only gets moderately warm. In its favour are also an NVMe SSD, an additional HDD and very good battery life. Not so good is the somewhat miserly connectivity included.

Elegant subnotebook. The most powerful configuration of the MateBook 13 cut a fine figure in our review. Those who do not need a dedicated graphics card can get the Huawei subnotebook for a bit cheaper. In this review, we shall reveal what users can expect from the lower-priced version that does not have a dedicated GPU.

Rejuvenation - It has been over two years since Samsung last upgraded its 10-inch entry-level Galaxy Tab A tablet. An update was necessary, especially regarding software. Read on to find out how the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 performs in our tests and whether it is a worthwhile upgrade over the Galaxy Tab A 10.5.

Successful work horse. The ThinkPad E490 scores with a quiet or silent operation, very good input devices, simple maintenance options, and a long battery life. In addition, the device stands out with a good price-performance ratio. The test unit that was made available to us can be purchased for slightly more than 700 Euros (~$780; currently $678 in the US for a similar model).

Perfectly balanced, as all things should be. The Zephyrus G GA502DU wants to redefine what a budget gaming laptop should be. Its rare pairing of an AMD H-series CPU with an Nvidia GeForce Max-Q GPU is something we wish could have happened years ago. It offers a superbly balanced gaming experience at 1080p30 or 1080p60 in a chassis the size of a flashy flagship all at an affordable price.

Cheap starter laptop. It's uninteresting, uninspiring, and unimaginative. To users looking for a budget no-frills laptop, however, this probably sounds perfect. The Inspiron 15 5584 comes standard with a Whiskey Lake-U CPU, 1080p IPS display and a PCIe SSD for only about $500 USD to make it a real performance bargain.
