The KFA2 GeForce RTX 4070 Ti EX Gamer is first and foremost a powerful graphics card that should place in the high midrange in terms of its performance. The graphics card from KFA2 is able to also confirm exactly that in our test - this much we can already reveal now. The distance to the KFA2 GeForce RTX 4070 EX Gamer is considerable, though. This is already reflected in the price, since the non-Ti model can currently be yours for about 630 Euros (in Germany, ~$697), while you have to pay about 870 Euros (~$962) for the KFA2 GeForce RTX 4070 Ti EX Gamer. While that is definitely not cheap, it is at least still slightly more affordable than the widespread models from Asus, MSI, and others. But with the serious-gaming edition of the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti, KFA2 also has a more expensive version with an RTX 4070 Ti chip at the starting block. Although that includes significantly more RGB, both models offer the same speed in the end.
Visually, the KFA2 GeForce RTX 4070 Ti EX Gamer appears very large, including a hefty triple-slot cooler similarly to the KFA2 GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SG. In one way, this is good, since it allows the graphics card to run quietly and cool, although the large size of the graphics card may slightly limit the case compatibility in some situations. The TDP of the graphics card is 285 watts, and the power supply is ensured by the 12VHPWR connection. Included in the box is the corresponding 2x 6+2-pin PCIe-to-12VHPWR adapter, in case you don't already have a current ATX 3.0 power supply. A GPU bracket is also included.
The external connections follow the usual standard. You currently still have to live without DisplayPort 2.1. Instead, you have to make do with 1x HDMI 2.1a and 3x DisplayPort 1.4a, which should currently be sufficient for most users, though.

Infos on our Test System
A current AMD platform based on the Gigabyte X670E Aorus Master serves as our test system. The AMD Ryzen 9 7950X CPU delivers a good performance, and we use an AiO solution from Alphacool (Alphacool Eisbear Aurora 360 mm) for cooling. The 32-GB working memory comes from G.Skill and is run with the corresponding EXPO profile. As monitor, we use the Gigabyte M32U.
The Test System in Detail
We use the following system for the benchmarks and tests below:
- Lian-Li O11 Dynamic
- AMD Ryzen 9 7950X
- Gigabyte X670E Aorus Master, BIOS: F10c
- Alphacool Eisbear 360 AiO
- Corsair HX1200i power supply
- G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo DDR5-6000 2x 16 GB, EXPO (DDR5-6000 CL30-38-38-96)
- Corsair MP600, 2 TB
- Crucial MX500, 2 TB
- Microsoft Windows 11 Professional 64-Bit (Version 22H2)
Details on the KFA2 GeForce RTX 4070 Ti EX Gamer
In terms of the clock speeds of the KFA2 GeForce RTX 4070 Ti EX Gamer, we don't see any change compared to the KFA2 GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SG. So according to the technical specs, both models are identical. The GPU Boost is specified as 2,670 MHz. In practice, we see GPU clock speeds between 2,750 and 2,830 MHz in our gaming tests, so the full performance is optimally used.
Synthetic Benchmarks
As we already expected, when comparing the competitors, the performance of the KFA2 GeForce RTX 4070 Ti EX Gamer is at the same level as that of the KFA2 GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SG. In terms of AMD, the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti competes with an AMD Radeon RX 6950 XT. At the same time, you should also know that AMD's midrange lineup based on the RDNA3 architecture will only be introduced a short time from now. Currently, AMD is faster than our test unit with its two top models. Even though the AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT is basically not a direct competitor to the KFA2 GeForce RTX 4070 Ti EX Gamer, AMD's second-fast graphics card might still become a danger to it, since the price of both models is at the same level.
When taking a look at the computing performance, neither of the two 4070-Ti models is able to assert itself. There is also no clear winner in the duel of the manufacturers. Those who primarily depend on a high computing performance have to do some research in advance on what software is used. This means that at this point, we cannot give a clear recommendation on what product is preferable.

Gaming Benchmarks
In addition to the synthetic tests, the KFA2 GeForce RTX 4070 Ti EX Gamer also has to show what it can do in gaming. Basically, we again see a performance that corresponds to that of the KFA2 GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SG. However, in the detail we still observe that our test unit often ends up directly behind with only a minimal distance between the two. But looking at it subjectively, we can state that both GeForce RTX 4070 Ti models from KFA2 offer the same performance without there being any noticeable difference. On the other hand, what is noticeable is the performance jump compared to the KFA2 GeForce RTX 3070 Ti SG, which is about 20 to 50% slower than our test sample, depending on the game. With the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti, you get the performance of an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 or an AMD Radeon RX 6950 XT.
Like all Ada Lovelace graphics cards, the KFA2 GeForce RTX 4070 Ti EX Gamer is also able to use features such as ray tracing and DLSS 3 including frame generation. In A Plague Tale Requiem or The Last of Us, you can clearly see that these features work. Both games pose extreme demands on the graphics card in 2,160p, so that we measure only barely above 40 fps on average. With DLSS, the frame rates increase by about 50%, reaching easily playable values. The min fps values also benefit from this hugely, ensuring a smoother gaming experience.
