Part gamer, part creator, part office. The ideaPad Pro 5 16 G9 does it all when configured with its discrete GPU option. The downside, however, is a louder and much warmer system than many other ultra-thin multimedia alternatives.

Writing as on a sheet of paper. With its PaperMatte display, the MatePad 11.5S offers a special coating which, in combination with pen support, should ensure a first-class writing experience. However, the matte screen of the Huawei tablet also reveals certain weaknesses.

The slowest Snapdragon SoC for 1149 euros. The Vivobook S 15 OLED was one of the first notebooks with the new Snapdragon X Elite, and now Asus is also launching a cheaper version with the new Snapdragon X Plus 8-core. However, the remaining specifications, including the 120 Hz OLED, are identical. However, the price difference to the faster X Elite model is too small.

Newcomer. The ZenBook S 16 OLED is one of the first devices on the market to be equipped with AMD's brand new AI 9 processors. Having already tested a model based on the HX 370 (Radeon 890M), it was now the turn of the 365 model (Radeon 880M). How does the 16-incher fare against the competition and the last generation?

135 g taking off from your hand. DJI released its lightest and most affordable camera drone ever on 5 September 2024. We had the opportunity to test out the device beforehand, allowing us to publish our impression in time for the launch. The 4K camera drone weighs just 135 g (about 0.3 lb), and yet is capable of recording stabilised 4K videos and has a few useful tricks up its sleeve. In this hands-on review, we’ll delve into whether the product is suitable for YouTubers and hobbyist filmmakers.

Even slimmer. Honor has updated its super-slim foldable smartphone—which is now even thinner and waterproof. Inside sits lots of modern hardware including a large battery. Its camera even houses a periscope zoom lens, but there are unfortunately also a few gaps in the Magic V3's offerings.

Better than the MacBook Air? With the new MagicBook Art 14, Honor offers a great subnotebook with a high-resolution OLED touchscreen and a Meteor Lake processor. The attachable webcam is also a real innovation that works excellently. Cooling is provided by a vapor chamber.

Still fast enough? Just over two months after the launch of the Snapdragon X Elite processors and the 10-core Snapdragon X Plus, Qualcomm has now released further ARM processors for laptops, including the Snapdragon X Plus 8-core variants with slower GPUs. We have tested the cheaper X1P-42-100.

Coherent. A Ryzen 5 8645HS, a GeForce RTX 4060 and 16 GB of RAM offer mid-range gaming power and ensure great battery life. The laptop’s hardware is rounded off by a 16:10 14.5-inch panel (2.5K, 120Hz and G-Sync support) and a USB4 port. The entire package is available for €1,449 (around US$1,600).

A better deal than the Titan 18 HX. The new Raider 18 drops many of the "unnecessary" features of the Titan 18 while keeping the same high-end CPU, GPU, and display options available. It therefore offers the same gaming and visual experience but for much cheaper prices to be an easier recommendation even for enthusiasts.

Graphic cravings from another world? Outlaws faced some criticism prior to release, but the final version was relatively well received, at least by the press. However, as our benchmark article indicates, Star Wars fans will need fairly powerful hardware to run it smoothly.

A real metal head. With a high-quality metal case, large battery, and fast charging, the OnePlus Nord 4 has the stuff to become a danger to even flagship smartphones, even though it is already available for less than 500 Euros (~$553). But the new SoC might spoil the party, so we take a more detailed look in our test.

The fastest Qualcomm chip. The Samsung Galaxy Book4 Edge 16, which is currently the only laptop fitted with the fastest Snapdragon X Elite processor (X1E-84-100), has higher CPU core clock rates as well as a faster Adreno GPU. However, the slim Galaxy Book4 can only use its performance potential to a limited extent.

Everything will be different this time, right? HTC is not completely abandoning its smartphone business in 2024 and is once again launching an upper mid-range smartphone on the market with the HTC U24 Pro. Current design is combined with old virtues such as a 3.5 mm audio port and a notification LED. Will it make the leap into the modern age?

Style trumps talent. The Ayaneo Retro Power Bank features an eye-catching retro design with a Super Nintendo look and a 0.91-inch OLED display. The power bank is relatively portable and the internal 12,000 mAh battery can charge other devices with up to 45 watts. However, the tactile feel of the buttons and the plastic used for the case are of mediocre quality, and when charging two external devices at the same time, the charging power drops to 15 watts per USB-C port.

Not a visual highlight! Asus has taken over Intel's NUC division and now offers the popular mini PCs with Intel's Meteor Lake processors. This not only gives small desktop computers more CPU power but can also significantly increase 3D performance thanks to the revised iGPU. We have tested the Asus NUC 14 Pro with Intel Core Ultra 5 125H in detail and evaluated the performance based on numerous measurements and benchmarks.

The Wolverine V3 Pro is Razer's new flagship gamepad. As our hands-on test revealed, the controller leaves (almost) nothing more to be desired thanks to its sampling rate of almost 1,000 Hz, programmable paddles, precise Hall effect sticks and innovative Razer Pro HyperTriggers.

14-inch Asus TUF debut. The Asus TUF series is getting bigger with its new smallest member powered by the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370. It's one of the fastest 14-inch gaming laptops available so long as you can tolerate the high temperatures and fan noise.

Speedy allrounder. After the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 inside the Zenbook S16 only fulfilled its performance potential to a limited extent, we are daring to try again by taking a look at the VivoBook S 14. In doing so, this also raises the question of whether the Radeon 890M iGPU can come close to the Intel Arc 8.

Whether you're connecting a single-board computer, a handheld or a smartphone, the CrowView Note allows lots of devices to be conveniently used as a laptop. At first glance, the 14-inch monitor with a keyboard and a touchpad looks just like a normal laptop—but without a processor or RAM.

The ThinkPad T480 successor. For many years, it seemed like ThinkPads of the T series would only become less modular. This ends now, the Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen 5 returns to a design with two SO-DIMM slots. It is a great office laptop, even though Meteor Lake U could be faster.

Just the basics for under $700. It's one of the cheaper 15.6-inch laptops you can find without resorting to used systems running on outdated processors. It's a decent barebones experience so long as you keep your expectations in check.

Debut. The manufacturer Nubia, which is known for its gaming smartphones, has entered the market of gaming laptops with its RedMagic Titan 16 Pro: Core i9, a GeForce RTX 4060 and a 16-inch display (QHD+, DCI-P3, 240 Hz, G-Sync) all promise a solid mid-range device. Our review will reveal whether this initial launch was a success.

Why spend a lot of money? Poco smartphones are traditionally characterized by their good price-performance ratio. The Poco F6 does not deviate from this formula either: for well under 400 euros, you can get a very fast mid-range phone with 120 Hz AMOLED, a good 50 MP camera, and fast charging with 90 watts.

Flat 17-incher with performance problems. With the S20 laptop, Medion has launched a 17.3-inch multimedia notebook onto the market. For 1,000 euros, the complete package of the notebook available at Aldi consists of 16 GB RAM, 16:9 IPS display, a one terabyte M.2 SSD, and the built-in Intel Core Ultra 7 155H.

A pound of smartphone, please! The Doogee V Max Plus is certainly not a pocket smartphone, but aims to score points with its 22,000 mAhbattery and robust design. It also offers a triple camera with 200 MPix and night vision, plenty of memory and a 120 Hz IPS display. Read the test to find out whether this is enough to convince.

Ryzen AI 300 beats Meteor Lake. Asus now also offers its ROG Zephyrus G16 gaming/multimedia hybrids with the new Zen 5 processors from AMD. We have tested the version with the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 and the dedicated GeForce RTX 4060 Laptop. It continues to feature the same wonderful 240-Hz OLED screen—as well as an annoying third fan.

Lightning fast. The TP-Link Archer BE800 uses the latest Wi-Fi 7 standard including the 6-GHz band and MLO. The router also has a modern wired setup and features two 10 Gbps ports. Powerful, premium and professional. The HP Elite 1000 family is lauded for its portability and auxiliary features that business users can appreciate. The latest Elite x360 1040 G11 continues the trend, but a bigger cooling solution probably wouldn't hurt to keep those core temperatures down.

However, it seems to have missed the slimness trend that is apparent within the field of foldable phones these days. Lumia comeback. The HMD Skyline is the first smartphone from HMD with Gen2 repair capability. This means that you can easily repair the mid-range phone by yourself. But does it work, and is the HMD Skyline enjoyable to use in everyday life?

Wi-Fi 7 & 32 GB RAM. With the Yoga Slim 7x, Lenovo offers a 14-inch multimedia laptop that combines the new Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite with a 90-Hz OLED touchscreen. But is the good battery life enough to justify the high price and compatibility problems?

Is this 3-year old design reaching its limits? There's no denying how versatile the Framework Laptop 13.5 can be now that it's gone through several generations of Intel and AMD CPUs without any major design changes. The improved display and integrated graphics help keep the model competitive, but the cooling solution is perhaps showing its age.

Gaming latecomer. Lenovo has made use of the name of its well-known Legion laptops to bring out a small tablet with a focus on gaming. The combination of Intel Core Ultra 9 185H and Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 laptop promises a lot. We use numerous measurements and benchmarks to analyze the expected performance level and how well the compact gaming PC performed in our test course.

Core i9-14900HX Raptor Lake-HX refresh. The ZBook Fury 16 series has been updated with new Raptor Lake-HX processor options for faster performance. The difference, however, is smaller than we would like to be mostly unnoticeable for most scenarios.

A well-rounded gaming headset. The Razer Blackshark V2 Pro (2023) has a very good microphone and decent audio quality that is only a little weak in the bass range. Photo specialist Sony's new Xperia I VI high-end smartphone leaves little more to be desired: It features further improved cameras, even better performance, fantastic battery life and a new, significantly brighter LTPO display. In addition, it once again offers features that no other flagship phone has. However, it still faces several weaknesses.

A creative powerhouse. With the ProArt P16, Asus has released a powerful 16-inch laptop that combines the new AMD Zen 5 processor with the dedicated GeForce RTX 4070 laptop and 64 GB of RAM, however, its high-resolution 4K OLED touchscreen only offers a frequency of 60 Hz.

$1300 Snapdragon X Elite vs. $1400 Core Ultra 7. The push for Windows on ARM is getting bigger with the popular XPS 13 series now jumping on the Snapdragon Elite train. It's asking price of $1300 actually is cheaper than the Intel Core Ultra 7 model, but be prepared for some compromises related to software.

Powerful model outshines predecessor. We recently tested the Bluetti AC200L, an expandable power station. The powerful model has a built-in 2,048Wh battery and offers various outputs, including up to 2,400W AC. Factors you may want to consider before purchasing include the weight of the power station and a potential issue with two of the four AC outlets. Back in the fold. This year's Motorola Razr+ bears an iconic name and lots has been improved on compared to its predecessor: It is now waterproof, charges faster, and it features a larger outer display and new camera system. Is this enough to keep up with the Galaxy Z Flip and co?

Limited progress! Geekom has presented the XT13 Pro as a powerful NUC mini-PC based on an Intel Core i9-13900H. This means that Intel's Meteor Lake processors are still left out. We have analyzed how well the high-end model of the Raptor Lake H series performs against the newer processors using numerous measurements and benchmarks.

XMG now also without a dedicated GPU. With the new XMG Evo 15, the German manufacturer Schenker wants to tap into a new target group that wants a modern notebook without a dedicated graphics card. In addition to the excellent 500-nit IPS panel, the outstanding maintenance options with 2x SO-DIMM and 2x SSD slots stand out in particular.

Audio experience. Inexpensive tablets don't usually come with many surprising features. The same can't be said for the 11.5-inch Lenovo Tab Plus, as it will even make music fans happy with its powerful 26-watt sound system. Thanks to its eight JBL speakers and Dolby Atmos, the US$300 tablet boasts a better sound than considerably more expensive tablets such as the Apple iPad Pro.

A wonderful keyboard but only 60 Hz OLED. With the ProArt PX13, Asus has a new 13.3-inch 2-in-1 with powerful hardware in its range. In addition to the brand new AMD Zen 5 mobile processors, it also comes with a GeForce 4070 laptop. However, the OLED touchscreen only offers a 60 Hz frequency which raises questions given the high asking price. Update: Photo/video editing benchmark results added

For home users with no interest in AI. The refreshed Raptor Lake CPU comes in cheaper than Meteor Lake and Zen 4 albeit without an integrated NPU for local AI acceleration. The IdeaPad Slim 5 16 is almost as basic as it gets but in a reliable and focused sort of way.

Meteor Lake doesn't stand a chance against Zen 5. Around one month after the launch of Qualcomm’s latest ARM chips, AMD has now release its new Zen 5 mobile processors codenamed Strix Point. We tested out the new Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 with various TDPs.

AMD offers the fastest gaming iGPU. Together with its new Zen 5 mobile processors, AMD has updated its integrated graphics card as well. Top-of-the-range models such as the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 make use of the new Radeon 890M. We have performed a detailed analysis of this new iGPU inside a variety of laptops.

Takes it slowly. Medion's S10 is a slim multimedia laptop with Meteor Lake, 16 GB RAM and a vivid OLED panel (4k, DCI-P3, 16 inches) with a 16:10 aspect ratio. Praiseworthy: Its RAM can be swapped out/upgraded. This total package retails for around US$1,400.

Just a tool! HP has the Pro Mini 400 G9 series in its portfolio as a small workstation that can handle a wide range of tasks. The modular design enables many different basic configurations. In this test, we look at the HP Pro Mini 400 G9 based on the Intel Core i5-14500T, evaluate its everyday performance, and take a closer look at its efficiency.

Otherwordly visual treat. The Alienware AW2725DF impresses with its QHD 360 Hz Gen 3 Samsung QD-OLED panel with extremely fast response times that are sure to please competitive gamers. The AW2725DF effectively combines vibrant visuals with speedy gaming performance, but this comes with a price to match along with a few caveats.

AMD Strix Point at 28 watts. The Zenbook S 16 marks Asus' first Copilot+ laptop to be fitted with AMD's new Zen 5 mobile processors. Adding to this is a 1.3-cm-flat case as well as a brilliant 120-Hz OLED display. Has this already made the Snapdragon laptops obsolete after only one month?

Marathon runner. Two years after the first Snapdragon ThinkPad, Lenovo releases a new variant. The Lenovo ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 offers excellent battery life numbers, but compatibility can still be problematic in some cases.

Better in every way, but also more expensive. The new Asus ROG Ally X is the updated version of the ROG Ally and still uses the same AMD processor as well as 7-inch IPS panel, but almost every other aspect has been improved. In addition to improved ergonomics and better joysticks, the gaming handheld benefits from additional memory as well as the larger 80 Wh battery. Powerful build. The Omen 17 shows impressively what a 17-inch gaming laptop can be, offering midrange performance at a stable and high level, while the cooling works at a surprisingly moderate noise level thanks to its successful control implementation. Only some of the allrounder capabilities are slightly left behind.

Core U, Core H, IPS, and OLED options. The Yoga 7 2-in-1 14 packs a lot of features for the price including a modern AI-ready processor. However, prices start to skyrocket if configuring with higher-end Core H and OLED options.

Creator's delight? Content creators and gamers make up the target market of the XMG Pro 16 Studio: Schenker has put together an offer consisting of a Core i9 processor, RTX 4070, Thunderbolt 4 port and a 16:10 display (QHD+, 240Hz, sRGB). Good cooling is supposedly ensured through the use of a Vapor Chamber.

Meteor Lake redesign. The Lenovo ThinkPad T14s Gen 5 not only brings an update to Core Ultra Series 1—also known as Meteor Lake—but the slim ThinkPad T-series device has also been given a big redesign. But for the first time in a long time, Lenovo has axed an AMD option for this business laptop.

Raptor Lake meets Mini-PC! HP's latest Elite Mini 800 G9 series model has been given a CPU upgrade. We put the mini-PC, which is suitable for a wide range of office tasks, through its paces on our test course. We analyze the performance and examine the efficiency of the configuration with Intel Core i5-14500 and DDR5 RAM.

Premiere for the RTX 500 Ada. Lenovo has given the Intel version of the ThinkPad P14s G5 a completely new case including a 3K IPS panel.
