Verdict - Yoga Pro 7i Gen 10 convinces as a multimedia notebook
The Yoga Pro 14 G10 with the Intel Core Ultra 9 285H is a double-edged sword. Although the processor offers good performance, a current Zen 5 processor offers the same performance at a lower energy consumption. The high GPU performance in the synthetic tests is also not reflected in the gaming tests, as Intel and AMD are ultimately on par in this area.
The high power limits also cause further problems, as the supplied 100 watt power supply is too weak under full load, which is why the battery has to be tapped into. In addition, the cooling is very loud at 48 dB(A) and the battery life is weaker. Why Lenovo only provides the Intel model with a card reader is a mystery to us.
The new 3K OLED touchscreen with 120 Hz, on the other hand, offers excellent image quality and Lenovo also provides accurate color profiles. All in all, the AMD model is the slightly better overall package thanks to its lower price.
Pros
Cons
Price and availability
The Yoga Pro 7 14 G10 with Intel CPUs can be purchased from Lenovo from 1,215 Euros (~$1405).
We have already tested Lenovo's Yoga Pro 14 G10 multimedia laptop with an AMD processor and a 2.8K OLED. However, the manufacturer also offers Intel variants and today we take a look at the Yoga Pro 7 14IAH10 with the Intel Core Ultra 9 285H in combination with a new 3K OLED touchscreen with 120 Hz. There are no changes to the case and input devices, which is why we refer you to our review of the AMD variant here.
Specifications
Differences to the AMD Yoga Pro 7 14
Our Intel test device is gray, but otherwise the case is no different from the AMD version. As expected, Thunderbolt 4 support is provided for the connections, but the fully-fledged SD card reader on the left-hand side is somewhat more surprising. The transfer rates are average at ~80 MB/s, but the cards cannot be inserted very far and they sit very loosely, which is why memory cards can fall out quickly.

Display - Great 3K OLED
Lenovo has installed a new 3K OLED touchscreen (3,000 x 1,876 pixels) in the Intel-based Yoga Pro 7 14 G10 and the picture quality is excellent, although the touchscreen has no negative effects here. There is PWM flickering at 120 Hz, but this is DC dimming with a very low amplitude.
In terms of brightness, we measured just under 500 cd/m² in SDR mode and a maximum of 1,100 cd/m² in HDR mode (full screen ~930 cd/m²), which are excellent values. Lenovo also provides very accurate color profiles and we couldn't improve the display any further with our own calibration.

The display backlight flickers at 120 Hz (worst case, e.g., utilizing PWM) Flickering detected at a brightness setting of 80 % and below. There should be no flickering or PWM above this brightness setting. The frequency of 120 Hz is very low, so the flickering may cause eyestrain and headaches after extended use. In comparison: 53 % of all tested devices do not use PWM to dim the display. If PWM was detected, an average of 8152 (minimum: 5 - maximum: 343500) Hz was measured. | |||
Performance - Intel Arrow Lake
Test conditions
We ran the benchmarks in Performance mode to get the maximum performance. However, the other two modes(battery-saving mode, auto) are also perfectly adequate in everyday use.
Processor
The Core Ultra 9 285H can briefly consume 115 watts and then stabilizes at 75 watts. This means that the CPU performance is good, but also somewhat lower than the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, which only requires 70/65 watts. Battery operation also shows that the high power limit makes little sense. Here, the processor is allowed to consume a maximum of 95 watts, but can maintain this level for longer before consumption also levels off at 75 watts. The result in the Cinebench 2024 multi-test is even 2% better as a result.

GPU performance
The performance of the integrated Arc Graphics 140T is very good in the synthetic benchmarks and also clearly ahead of the Radeon 890M, although the fast RAM is also noticeable here. In terms of gaming performance, on the other hand, Intel and AMD are pretty evenly matched.

Emissions & Energy
Noise emissions
In performance mode, the fan becomes clearly audible as soon as the processor is put under some load. This is due to the high power limit and you should select one of the slower energy profiles in everyday use. Under load, we measured a maximum of around 48 dB(A), which is simply too much for a system with an iGPU. In auto mode, the maximum is 41.1 dB(A) and in battery saving mode , the maximum is 32.6 dB(A).

Energy consumption
If the processor is allowed to consume up to 115 watts (total consumption according to HWiNFO is even just under 150 watts), it is hardly surprising that the 100-watt power supply unit is inadequate. During short load peaks, the battery is always tapped.
