Lenovo's 14-inch Yoga Pro 7 subnotebook is optionally available with the fast GeForce RTX 4050, with which you can run all the latest games smoothly in 1080p on a 120 Hz screen. At the same time, the fantastic IPS panel scores with P3 coverage and accurate colors.

The new Lenovo Yoga Pro 7 14 is available with different components. At the lower end of the performance scale is the model with the AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS and integrated Radeon 680M graphics, which, in our review, proved to be an excellent subnotebook for just over US$1,000. However, if you need more graphics performance, you can also get the model with the combination of an Intel Core i7-13700H and the new Nvidia Geforce RTX 4050 Laptop GPU, which turns the compact 14-inch device into a mobile gamer.

Of course, this is not the fastest version of the RTX 4050, which can consume up to ~95 watts in larger gaming laptops. With a maximum TGP of 55 watts, the graphics performance of the RTX 4050 is still impressive and the latest games can be played in 1080p and at high details without issue, which can also be seen in the following results:

low med. high ultraQHD
GTA V (2015) 179.1 161.5 78.7 57.7
The Witcher 3 (2015) 230 157 96 66
Dota 2 Reborn (2015) 178.8 165.6 156.3 148
Final Fantasy XV Benchmark (2018) 82.7 59.9 41.6
X-Plane 11.11 (2018) 148.5 124 100.9
Far Cry 5 (2018) 151 89 81 76 53
F1 2021 (2021) 309 191.5 157.7 87.2 62.1
Cyberpunk 2077 1.6 (2022) 72 60 53 49 31
F1 22 (2022) 169.5 159.2 116.8 42.6 27.1
Hogwarts Legacy (2023) 84 74 59 53

The optional matte 3K display with 120 Hz also offers faster response times than the standard 2.5K panel and also cuts a fine figure in gaming. On top of the subjective picture quality, the measured values are also impressive, because the screen completely covers the P3 color space and color accuracy is already excellent out of the box, so you can start editing pictures and videos right away. Only the power consumption is slightly higher than that of the 2.5K variant and in our real-world WLAN test, the runtime at 60 Hz is between 7 and 10 hours, depending on the brightness.

The CPU performance of the Intel Raptor Lake Core i7-13700H is also very good and Lenovo offers different performance modes that can be conveniently switched at any time via the Fn+Q key combination. If you need full performance, the fans are clearly audible at 46 dB(A), but it is also worth giving Intelligent Cooling mode a try, especially when gaming, where the device is significantly quieter at just under 38 dB(A). In everyday use, the device is often silent.

All in all, the high-end variant of the new Yoga Pro 7 14 is a very compelling package for around US$1500. After all, thanks to the 3K panel and the GeForce RTX 4050, the compact subnotebook turns into a powerful multimedia device and is also great for gaming.
