Verdict: The 99.99-Wh battery is the strongest selling point
With the GeekBook M16, Geekom presents a successful 16-inch laptop whose greatest strength is its outstanding battery life. The 99.99-Wh battery delivers long runtime even during intensive use, making the device an ideal companion for mobile work. Beyond its endurance, the notebook impresses with a high-quality aluminum chassis, narrow display bezels, and a 16:10 display that offers a comfortable workspace thanks to its resolution of 1,920 × 1,200 pixels.
The Intel Core Ultra 9 185H delivers strong everyday performance and operates consistently even under sustained load, though it lags slightly behind the average of comparable systems in benchmark comparisons. The integrated Intel Arc Graphics is suitable for multimedia, creative applications, and occasional gaming, while USB4 allows for the connection of an external graphics card.
Less impressive are the Kingston SSD’s performance drops under sustained load, the slightly increased DPC latencies, and the non-expandable RAM.
Overall, the GeekBook M16 offers a well-rounded package featuring high-quality build, good specs, quiet operation, and excellent battery life. Anyone looking for a long-lasting 16-inch laptop for productive work and multimedia will find a compelling companion here with only a few weaknesses.
Pros
Cons
Price and Availability
The GeekBook M16, in the configuration we tested, is currently available for order from the manufacturer for $899. The laptop can also be ordered on Amazon for $899.
Specifications
Cases, Accessories, and Input Devices
The GeekBook M16 features a slim aluminum chassis with high-quality craftsmanship and a simple, modern design. Narrow display bezels give the 16-inch notebook a contemporary look and provide a large screen area despite its comparatively compact dimensions. Despite its generous size, the notebook feels sturdy yet remains easy to carry. The chassis remains torsion-resistant during everyday use, while the hinges hold the screen securely in place and allow for comfortable opening.
In terms of features, the GeekBook M16 offers a modern selection of ports, including USB4, USB-A, and HDMI, as well as the latest Wi-Fi and Bluetooth standards. Geekom offers the notebook exclusively in a fixed configuration. Since the RAM cannot be expanded, future upgrades are limited.
The GeekBook M16’s keyboard features a comfortable key travel and a clearly defined actuation point, making extended typing sessions comfortable. Thanks to the integrated numeric keypad, it’s also well-suited for productive tasks. The generously sized touchpad responds precisely to input, supports all common multitouch gestures, and impresses with a pleasant feel and a quiet, clearly defined click sound.

Display
The 16-inch display in 16:10 aspect ratio, with a resolution of 1,920 × 1,200 pixels, offers a comfortable workspace and is ideal for office applications, multimedia, and everyday use. In our tests, the panel achieved the 300 cd/m² brightness advertised by the manufacturer almost exactly. This brightness is sufficient for indoor use, but the display reaches its limits in very bright environments or outdoors. The panel also impresses with decent color gamut coverage and completely avoids PWM, ensuring that even longer work sessions remain comfortable. Out of the box, the Delta E deviations are comparatively high, which limits color accuracy. However, after manual calibration, color reproduction improves significantly, making the display better suited even for semi-professional image editing.

Processor Performance
The Intel Core Ultra 9 185H delivers high application performance and handles office tasks, multitasking, and more demanding workloads with ease. In benchmark comparisons, however, the CPU lags slightly behind the average of other devices with the same processor, suggesting a conservative power consumption profile. One positive aspect is the consistent performance in the Cinebench R15 multi-core endurance test: even under sustained load, the GeekBook M16 maintains its performance without any significant throttling.

System and Storage Performance
In everyday use, the GeekBook M16 impresses with its smooth and responsive performance. The laptop handles Office applications, web browsers with many open tabs, video streaming, and multitasking with ease. The device also achieves good overall results in system benchmarks, benefiting from the combination of the Intel Core Ultra 9 185H, a fast SSD, and generous memory capacity. However, the measured DPC latencies are slightly higher than average, which may occasionally cause limitations in latency-critical real-time applications. For typical everyday and multimedia tasks, however, this aspect is hardly an issue.

Storage Device
The GeekBook M16 features a Kingston SSD with 512 GB of storage and a PCIe 4.0 connection. In everyday use, the drive offers short load times as well as fast program and system startups. However, under sustained load, the SSD experiences significant performance drops, causing transfer rates to decrease noticeably after prolonged write operations. Expandability is a positive feature: In addition to the built-in M.2-2280 drive, there is an additional M.2-2230 slot available for a second SSD.

GPU and Gaming Performance
For graphics processing, the GeekBook M16 relies on the Intel Arc Graphics integrated into the Intel Core Ultra 9 185H. The iGPU offers sufficient performance for everyday office tasks, multimedia applications, image editing, and basic video editing. Even older or less demanding games can be played smoothly at reduced detail settings. Naturally, the performance of an integrated graphics unit isn’t sufficient for the latest AAA titles or professional 3D rendering tasks. However, thanks to the USB4 interface, an external graphics card (eGPU) can be connected as needed, significantly boosting graphics performance for such applications.

Speakers
The GeekBook M16’s stereo speakers deliver solid sound quality for everyday use. Voice is reproduced clearly and intelligibly, making the laptop well-suited for video conferencing, streaming, and multimedia. Music and movies benefit from a balanced sound profile, even though—as expected—the sound lacks some deep bass and dynamic range. At high volumes, the sound remains largely clean; however, external speakers or headphones are the better choice for a significantly richer sound experience.

Power Consumption and Battery Life
The GeekBook M16’s overall power consumption is unremarkable, but compared to similarly equipped 16-inch laptops, it isn’t among the most energy-efficient models. Power consumption is slightly higher, especially when idle, while power draw under load remains at a reasonable level. The included 100-watt power adapter is sufficiently rated and still offers plenty of headroom.
One of the GeekBook M16’s greatest strengths is its battery, which has a capacity of nearly the maximum allowed 99.99 Wh. It delivers outstanding battery life and makes this 16-inch notebook a reliable companion for long workdays away from a power outlet. Even with intensive Office use, web browsing, video streaming, and multitasking, extended usage times are easily achievable. This makes the GeekBook M16 one of the top performers in its class in terms of battery life and makes it particularly well-suited for users who work on the go a lot.
