Verdict — Great For Basic HTPC Needs
It's unreasonable to expect a fast processor from a ready-to-go mini PC retailing for less than $200. While the Twin Lake N150 CPU is relatively new, it still doesn't come close to older Core i3 options like the Core i3-1115G4.
For basic HTPC purposes like 1080p streaming, print servers, music, and other undemanding or low multi-tasking loads, however, the B4 Max is sufficient for the most part. Fan noise and wireless speeds could have been quieter and faster, respectively, but these limitations shouldn't be an issue in a 1080p living room setup. We also appreciate the integrated support for 2.5-inch SAYA III SSDs as such an option is becoming more uncommon on newer designs.
Pros
Cons
Price and Availability
The BMax B4 Turbo is out of stock on both Amazon and the official manufacturer store as of this writing. The temporary coupon code 'BMAXAnniversary5' is valid until April 1 to bring the price down to just under $150.
Despite what the name may suggest, the BMax B4 Turbo is a lower-end mini PC running on a low-power N150 Twin Lake processor. It's designed more for streaming or budget server applications rather than a full-fledged primary PC or multimedia system. Our test unit can be found online between $150 to $200 with 16 GB of RAM, 512 GB SSD, and Windows 11 pre-installed.
Alternatives include other budget mini PCs like the Acemagic S1, Beelink EQ14, or Asus NUC 14 Essential.

Specifications
Case
Size and materials are essentially identical to the BMAX B7 Power except that the top surface is now smooth glossy plastic. Unsightly fingerprints readily accumulate on the top of the system as a result.
Connectivity
Port options include all the basics sans a full-size DisplayPort. Note that the USB-C port can also be used for power should you ever lose the barrel AC adapter included in the box.
