GTA 6 trailer #3 anticipation rises after YouTube ad teases Rockstar Games title

Before the Netflix Extended Look drew massive viewership, YouTube hosted previous GTA 6 trailers. After the site posted a new ad promoting the game, speculation has grown that it will premiere future videos. One possibility is a third trailer ahead of the release date, but the platform can market the Rockstar title in multiple ways.

On social media, ben/videotech shared the banner, which reads, “There’s more to GTA VI on YouTube.” Notably, the ad uses a modified version of existing artwork in which Lucia is no longer holding a gun.

YouTube music clips?

The most optimistic fans are hoping for GTA 6 trailer #3 on October 8th. Still, signs point to an album-related announcement after a series of musical leaks. On October 4th, Spotify leaked that Cardi B and Fuerza Regida contributed 2 songs to the soundtrack. Fuerza Regida has since produced a teaser clip referencing Vice City.

Both artists have a major presence on YouTube, and new videos could accompany album news. Yet, many players are anxious to see more from the game itself. The debate is what else Rockstar would be willing to show following the Netflix Extended Look.

The August 27th production shed insight into Lucia and Jason’s relationship. Even so, the studio still hasn't focused on their backstory or how the characters became partners in crime. To avoid story spoilers, gamers may have to wait until the GTA 6 release date for details.

Gameplay gaps

Recent previews may also offer hints for an upcoming GTA 6 trailer. A Game Informer article discussed an advanced weather system and abundant wildlife in Leonida. While the magazine published exclusive screenshots, they lack the impact of a hurricane raging in a YouTube video. Hunting as a side activity is suspected, but players haven’t witnessed these encounters in action.

Many gameplay mechanics remain unexplained as the November launch approaches. Rockstar hasn’t confirmed whether meteorological conditions will impact missions. Fans also have questions about the heat system and how long the police pursue Lucia and Jason.
