GTA 6 screenshots and weather system info imminent in pre-release date marketing push

Recently, Rockstar Games' marketing has leaned heavily on merchandise. While many fans are unhappy with the GTA 6 Collector's Edition, the studio is about to share new gameplay info and screenshots. The next issue of Game Informer will include an interview that discusses unexplained weather mechanics.
Available via a subscription, the digital version of the magazine and preview unlocks on September 29th. Mailboxes, newsstands, and bookstands are also set to receive print copies. Coveting a cover image that depicts Jason and Lucia, collectors are anticipating its arrival.
Bringing Leonida to life
Following the August 27th Netflix Extended Look, publications posted a series of interviews with Rockstar developers. Yet many questions were left unanswered as the November 19th GTA 6 release date looms. Marcus Stewart of Game Informer spoke with designers at the studio, focusing on the Florida-inspired map.
Dynamic weather is one gameplay element not exposed in existing previews. Past trailers and screenshots suggest that players can experience a variety of states from sunshine to torrential rain. However, it’s unclear whether Vice City and its surroundings will have region-specific conditions that impact missions.
Possible side activities
The magazine plans to reveal more details on wildlife that inhabits the open-world GTA 6 map. Human NPCs should behave more realistically, but animals inhabit Leonida as well. Like Red Dead Redemption 2, the title could feature a living ecosystem of creatures like alligators, dolphins, and deer. Hunting and fishing are two additional topics the article may touch on.
Rockstar last posted a fresh batch of GTA 6 screenshots on its website on September 1st. The digital September 29th issue will offer 12 never-before-seen images.
After the album and Collector’s Edition announcement, fans are craving more information about the game itself. Besides weather, other mechanics remain a mystery. Unknowns include Jason and Lucia’s character progression and how their skills may evolve. The Game Informer issue could signal a new round of gameplay-oriented marketing.
