GTA 6: Most important details from nearly 3 hours of gameplay summarized

Rockstar has already shown quite a bit of GTA 6 in the Extended Look, but apparently far from everything. Spanish YouTuber El Rubius was shown nearly three hours of gameplay at Rockstar North. However, El Rubius did not play the game himself. Instead, Rockstar development chief Rob Nelson had the controller in his hands, although he reportedly accommodated some of the YouTuber's requests during the presentation. In a roughly 24-minute video on YouTube, El Rubius talks about what he saw – albeit in Spanish. On Reddit, the most important details from the video have now been summarized.
Goodbye loading screens
During the presentation, the two reportedly entered a fully explorable hotel and, after a brief walk through the lobby, took the elevator all the way to the roof – without any visible loading screen. This suggests that Rockstar could make transitions between the outside world and interiors much more seamless in GTA 6 than in its predecessor. Also interesting: Once on the roof, El Rubius and Rob Nelson found a helicopter, which they promptly stole.
More complex robberies
As fans already suspected after the Extended Look, robberies in GTA 6 appear to be considerably more complex. According to Rubius, jewelry stores can apparently be robbed independently of story missions. The 3D map reportedly even showed that one store contained loot worth around $15,000 to $40,000. At the same time, the map is said to have shown possible entry points, allowing players to plan their robbery in advance.
While searching an employee's desk, Nelson also found the code to a safe. Gold bars, diamonds and bundles of cash then had to be picked up individually. Even when robbing a gas station register, the money reportedly does not simply disappear at the press of a button, but instead has to be taken out of the register piece by piece.
New possibilities with vehicles
Rockstar also appears to have added several new possibilities involving vehicles. According to Rubius, not only can bodies be hidden in trunks, but Jason and Lucia can also climb inside to hide. In addition, a car's driver-side door can reportedly be opened while driving to hit people or other vehicles. This could be useful, for example, for knocking cops or other pursuers off motorcycles. Players will also reportedly be able to kick while riding e-scooters, which are making their GTA debut in the sixth installment.
Jason and Lucia's relationship apparently matters
The dynamic between the two protagonists also sounds interesting. During the presentation, Jason was reportedly simply left behind by Lucia after a robbery. Shortly afterward, Jason sent her a message calling her out on it. According to Rubius, actions like this could affect how well Jason and Lucia work together during robberies later on.
Lots of small details
According to Rubius, the open world of GTA 6 (available for pre-order on Amazon) is packed with small details: Crowds on the beach change depending on the time of day, footprints remain in the sand and items such as smartphones or glasses can be knocked off NPCs during collisions. Even petting dogs reportedly has some nuance: Players can apparently ask their owners for permission, with both the owner and the dog able to refuse. According to Rubius, a Rockstar employee also told him that the open world is around three times the size of the one in Red Dead Redemption 2.
