Sony unveils two limited-edition GTA 6 DualSense controllers

Sony has unveiled two limited-edition DualSense wireless controllers for GTA 6, cashing in on the recent hype generated by Rockstar Games' upcoming blockbuster. The reveal was shoehorned into the recent State of Play event, where Sony showcased a bunch of current and upcoming PlayStation titles.
The DualSense Wireless Controller – Grand Theft Auto VI White Limited Edition takes inspiration from Vice City during the daytime, combining a white base with pastel accents to evoke beaches, bright skies and sunsets. The Black Limited Edition instead represents Vice City's nightlife with a darker colour scheme and neon-inspired detailing.
Both controllers feature a shimmering, colour-shifting finish that combines the hues of a Vice City sunset with the glow of its neon lights. Sony has also moulded palm tree details directly into the controller shells, adding a tactile element alongside the official GTA 6 branding. Despite the shiny aesthetics, these are still regular DualSense wireless controllers, complete with haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. Sony says both technologies will respond dynamically to events throughout GTA 6.
Rockstar has already confirmed PS5 Pro-specific enhancements for the game, although it has yet to explain exactly what those upgrades will entail. Nevertheless, PS5 Pro consoles became difficult to find at several major US retailers following the Extended Look, with some third-party sellers asking as much as $1,300 for the $899 console. That rush came despite lingering uncertainty about what performance advantages the PS5 Pro will offer in GTA 6.
The two new controllers could be just as hard to find. PlayStation will sell the White Limited Edition in finite quantities through PlayStation Direct and participating retailers worldwide. The Black Limited Edition is even more restricted, with PlayStation Direct serving as the exclusive retailer in supported markets. Given the current appetite for GTA 6-branded hardware, it would not be surprising to see either version appear on the secondary market with a $1,000 price tag.
Pre-orders for the DualSense Wireless Controller – Grand Theft Auto VI White Limited Edition and Black Limited Edition kick off on September 10 at 10:00 AM local time in most regions. In the US, PlayStation Direct orders open at 7:00 AM PT/10:00 AM ET. Both limited-edition DualSense controllers launch starting November 19, alongside GTA 6. They are priced at $84.99 in the US, €84.99 in Europe, £74.99 in the UK and ¥12,480 in Japan.
