South Park airs GTA 6 gameplay with flying dog poop on packed Vice City beach

Rockstar Games has premiered GTA 6 gameplay through YouTube videos or, in one case, the Netflix Extended Look. Still, a new clip surfaced in an unexpected place. In the latest South Park episode, Jason and Lucia emerge on a crowded Vice City beach. The footage involves Jason hurling dog poop at a seemingly random NPC.
Early in the clip from "Guinea Pig on a Stick", the narrator explains that beachgoers can bag their canine’s poop. However, it can also become a weapon, as is evident when Lucia’s partner throws the excrement at an unsuspecting man. Not surprisingly, the victim is agitated, but Jason proceeds to repeat the attack anyway.
At first, it was unclear whether the GTA 6 gameplay sequence was authentic and provided by Rockstar. Even so, the level of detail matches that seen in official trailers. To put any doubt to rest, the credits after the South Park episode read, “Grand Theft Auto VI footage courtesy of Rockstar Games, Inc.”
A persistent South Park theme
It’s debatable if the animated sitcom has a marketing deal with the studio. Regardless, the dog poop video is only the most recent time the show mentioned the project. During a September 16th EP called "South American Biker Gangs", the characters believe the GTA 6 release date will improve the country.
In the September 30th South Park EP, there are concerns that a power outage could prevent players from saving their progress. On October 14th, a sign advertising the title appeared in reference to upcoming elections. GTA 6 will likely continue to play a role in the show as its launch approaches.
Jokes aside, the gameplay clip is as much of a technical showcase as earlier trailers. Throngs of NPCs with unique body shapes line the Vice City beach, stressing the CPUs of Xbox and PS5 consoles. At least some of the individuals react to Jason’s violence or gentler contact with dialogue. The visual fidelity also impresses, including dynamic footprints on the stand.
