GTA 6 review copy may have been sent to YouTuber who posts release date spoilers

Reliable leaker NateTheHate claimed Rockstar would distribute GTA 6 review codes to the media by October 31st. A more recent rumor suggests the article embargo will end on November 18th. However, some fans worry a content creator may share story spoilers on or prior to the game’s release date.
A serial spoiler
Shirrako is a controversial YouTuber known for offering full walkthroughs of popular titles. Frustratingly for viewers, he has a history of exposing key plot points. With Elden Ring, followers saw the final boss fight before most players had a chance to progress.
Spoilers emerged for other games like Final Fantasy 16 and Resident Evil Requiem. Most recently, at the start of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 early access, Shirrako uploaded campaign endings. Worse, YouTube thumbnails often depicted pivotal plot points, making them hard to avoid.
A new social media post from the content creator has sparked fears about Rockstar’s upcoming title. It includes controller and palm tree emojis, likely referencing Vice City. Now there are worries the studio agreed to send Shirrako a sought-after GTA 6 review copy. If so, he could rush to disclose how the saga of Jason and Lucia concludes.
Fans have asked why Rockstar would partner with someone who ruins many gamers' experience. 2.6 million subscribers and over 10 million monthly views might explain the choice. Even if his tactics draw criticism, videos on the channels instantly reach a large audience.
Rockstar restrictions
Despite the hint, Shirrako may not receive a digital code in advance of the GTA 6 release date. Still, he has enjoyed pre-launch access to many high-profile AAA games. Another consideration is that the publisher could stipulate that initial articles or clips can’t contain story spoilers.
A leak pinpointed when players can expect to see launch coverage. The GTA 6 review embargo reportedly will expire on November 18th at 12:01-1:01 PM CET/6-7 AM EST. That said, some YouTube channels may need to wait until the next day to post footage.
