Qualcomm Adreno 660 vs ARM Mali-G76 MP12 vs ARM Mali-G78 MP20
Qualcomm Adreno 660 ► remove from comparison
The Qualcomm Adreno 660 is a smartphone and tablet GPU that is integrated within the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC . The chip will be available from early 2020 and will be used mainly in high-end Android devices.
According to Qualcomm, the Adreno 660 GPU offers a 35% improved performance over the Adreno 650 , its predecessor, which is integrated into the Snapdragon 865 SoC. Qualcomm also states that the energy efficiency improved by 20% which might be due to the new 5nm process at Samsung where the chip is produced.
The Adreno 650 supports Vulkan 1.1, DirectX 12, OpenGL ES 3.2, and OpenCL 2.0 FP. Furthermore, games and videos can use HDR10+ and Dolby Vision (with a supported display).
ARM Mali-G76 MP12 ► remove from comparison
The ARM Mali-G76 MP12 is an integrated high-end graphics card for ARM based SoCs (mostly Android based). It was introduced early 2019 in the Samsung Exynos 9820 (e.g. Galaxy S10 Plus). It integrates 12 of the 20 possible cores and is based on the second generation of the Bifrost architecture. According to ARM it offers improvements in the machine learning efficiency and a bigger tile buffer for 16x anti-aliasing. Compared to the old Mali-G72, the G76 should offer twice the performance per cluster.
The GPU supports all modern graphics APIs like OpenGL ES 3.2, Vulkan 1.0, OpenCL 2.0, DirectX 12 FL11_1 and Renderscript.
ARM Mali-G78 MP20 ► remove from comparison
The ARM Mali-G78MP20 is an integrated high-end graphics card for ARM based SoCs (mostly Android based). It was introduced late 2021 in the Google Tensor SoC . It integrates 20 of the 24 possible cores and is based on the second generation of the Valhal architecture. According to ARM it offers two new features: asynchronous top level and fragment dependency tracking.
The graphics card is one of the fastest in Android devices of 2020 and therefore able to run all games fluently.
The GPU supports all modern graphics APIs like OpenGL ES 3.2, Vulkan 1.1 and OpenCL 2.0.
