Stream TV Networks have announced that their newest tablet – the eLocity A7, will be available for purchase next month for just below $400. The mini laptop reportedly comes with a 7-inch touch screen, NVIDIA Tegra 2 CPU and Android OS.

The eLocity A7 portable PC is equipped with NVIDIA’s latest processor – Tegra 2. The central processing unit is clocked at 1GHz and offers a high quality picture as well as HD video playback. In addition, the tablet reportedly has a capacitive multi-touch screen which is 7 inches in diagonal. Moreover, the display has a native resolution of 800-by-480 pixels.

There is no information about the system memory and the hard drive but it is known that the tablet sports an SD card slot which can be used for both file transfer and storage.

Stream TV’s new portable computer has a SIM card slot so that consumers can connect to the Internet via 3G. Another good feature is that users can make video calls thanks to the built-in 1.3 megapixel web cam and microphone.

Along with the SD card slot there are some important ports that are added to the device such as the USB and HDMI ports. With the help of HDMI interface it is possible to watch 1080p (FullHD) videos on an external TV set.

Also, the eLocity A7 tablet reportedly comes with an integrated accelerometer. Furthermore, at launch the device will be powered by Android 2.1 OS but, according to Engagdet, an Android 2.2 version will be released in October which will also have a wireless keyboard and an HDMI cable included in the box.

Stream TV eLocity A7 tablet will be available for purchase on Amazon in September for $399 (or about 314)
