Amazfit rolls out Zepp Flow to smartwatches ahead of schedule
The Amazfit Balance smartwatch is receiving an update, including an earlier-than-expected release of Zepp Flow to more countries. In a Slack post titled “Amazfit Balance OTA 5 Update Log,” the company revealed that firmware version 3.19.6.5 is rolling out to the wearable.
The update brings a range of features to the Balance, including half and full-marathon training plans with the Zepp Sports Coach. You can now see all HRV data from the night before and weekly trend insights, there is a red light setting for the flashlight, and two sports have been added: bouldering and indoor rock climbing. Plus, Zepp Flow now supports both English and German. A Zepp OS 3.5 update, including Zepp Flow, was launched for customers in the US, the UK, Canada, and the Republic of Ireland in February. At the time, Amazfit announced it would reach users in other countries on May 1st. Whether or when the AI voice assistant will support different languages remains unclear. The complete change log detailing all features and improvements included in the update can be viewed below.
The release of firmware version 3.19.6.5 for Amazfit Balance smartwatch users in the US and Germany began on April 16th. The update will then reach customers in other countries globally from April 24th. Zepp OS 3.5 is due to reach other models like the Cheetah, Falcon, and T-Rex Ultra on May 28th and the Active on June 20th.
